I brought the kit a few weeks ago and was very pleased with the quick delivery to the UK. Ive now fitted it and had some range time to see how it's worked out. What a difference! The pull is now a smooth, safe and usable 3lb 7oz with improved grouping. The product was complimented by a great follow up service with offers of advice and support. All in all an excellent deal.
Great product easy to install in minutes. Super smooth trigger right at 3.5 lb. Just as advertised. I would highly recommend!
Quick response on my order. Installation was a breeze after following instructions on YOUTUBE. Pull was dropped from 4.6# to 2.4#. I did at the same time replace the stock hammer with the Volquartz for the 597. Unfortunately M*CARBO had not offered their hammer at that time. Great product ! I will use M*CARBO for my primary upgrade for all of my firearms.

This is a great product for the 597, as the factory one is heavy an not crisp at all. However this product changes all that. And it is consistent at 3 an 1/2 lbs. and smooth. Also very easy to install watching their video .

Have a 597 stainless which was almost never used because of terrible trigger and especially failures to extract . Added VQ extractor and target hammer which cleared up extraction problems and reduced trigger pull to 2.5 lbs . Adding this Mcarbo kit further reduced pull to just below 2 lbs and improved feel. An easy install and well worth it. Best follow up customer service I've ever seen from a gun parts company in terms of emails pointing me to installation videos etc.
The kit fit and works. Just didn't do much to decrease trigger pull as advertised. Made about a one pound difference in my rifle.
I've had my Rem 597 22lr for 6yrs, I bought it for squirrel hunting. From day 1 it has had a heavy trigger pull, I guess some would refer to it as a "lawyer trigger",but regardless as why Rem. did this it's still heavy little over 6 lbs heavy. As I've gotten older I've found I need all the help I can get hunting. Enter Mcarbo, I did a seek and search found their site, ordered the 597 spring kit, got to the house in no time, took out the trigger group changed out the spring,it was lighter in tension,installed in no time maybe 15 min, it dropped the "PULL" to a squeeze of just over 2lbs now this is just mine yours maybe different. My groups at 50yds went from quarter size to 5 shots covered by a dime in my neck of the woods that is 1 minute of squirrel head. You won't go wrong if you order this, plus Mcarbo is ran by U.S. Veterans, my emotions get the better of me when I talk about them,they did what they done so we can do what we do, so install a Mcarbo trigger spring kit, you won't be disappointed. The kit significantly improved the trigger feel. I have not yet had a chance to fire the gun with the kit installed, but I am definitely looking forward to it. I'll try to remember to follow up with you to let you know about it once I've tried it. I had a Volquartsen hammer in the gun previous to installing your kit, and I was tempted to leave it in. But I followed the recommendation and reinstalled the factory hammer. The trigger feel is better with your kit than it was with the Volquartsen hammer and factory trigger spring/bushings. Thank you for developing a quality trigger kit for the 597. I hope you sell a zillion of them.
Your trigger kit was very easy to install and it has made shooting the gun a pleasure. I have recommended it to a good friend of mine and he should do his shortly. The gun is now ready for my grandson. Thanks for a wonderful engineered product
I Have purchased 2 trigger spring kits for my Remington 597 22 magnum and 22LR rifles. This product cuts trigger pull in half. Its Nice to have a good trigger pull that you don't have to worry about. Easy installation too. Once you remove the rifle from stock and remove the trigger housing. Then it's just one pin you have to remove. Then change out the spring and bushings, replace in reverse order. That easy. Tip take a Q tip and cut the shaft to make a slave pin to hold everything together, then when you replace with the pin it just follows thru.
I have tried other things but with this spring kit combined with the Volquartsen hammer is the fastest and safest way to reduce your trigger pull so you can shoot your best.
If you own a 597 you have already experienced the horrible trigger. This easy to install kit has made all the difference. It is a joy to shoot now. Crisp, smooth and predictable. I couldn't be happier. Thank you MCARBO.
