Review
spring kit was easy to install, just follow the video. I also have several rugers ( everything works as shown. need 10/22 parts also 195 series mini-14 rail. these are hard to find and most won't hold zero after a few rounds.
Bought these for my Rem 597 mag Marlin 925 Savage axis 223 And all have vast improvement over factory trigger in my opinion. Will buy again for next rifle. Highly recommend.
Works great and the instruction video was great
Again, thanks to mcarbo for excellent service and products. I purchased the 597 spring kit to go with the Volquartsen hammer and extractor and the difference is amazing. Easy to install and video instructions are, as usual, excellent. Thanks again mcarbo for another great product.
Very impressed what this did for my gun
Arrived quickly, easy to install with video, a better (lighter) trigger pull resulted. I failed to take measurements, but ended up ~2-2 1/2 lbs. Very pleased.
Great kit. It dropped the trigger pull weight for my 597 22lr from almost 8lbs to about 5lbs. No issues with the safety. Good quality and great value for the money.
I installed the spring & bushing set on my wife's Rem. 597 with no problems. Well, one problem: The video was not clear about the position of the trigger latch during reassembly, but that was of little consequence. I had intended to polish the bushings - but forgot - and will do so later. NONETHELESS, I took the rifle to the range, fired a dozen rounds through it, and the trigger broke crisply, cleanly, and with less than half the perceived pressure prior to installing the spring and bushings. I'm totally pleased. I'd recommend this item to anyone with a Rem.597.
We FINALLY had a chance to try the 597's out 2 days ago. Bought & installed your springs & bushings on 2 597's, as well as a Volquartson hammer on one of them. While they were apart I took the opportunity to polish up the bolt guides with some S100 metal polish, followed by Wizards metal polish, and just lightly polised up the new bushings with the Wizards as well. Then after the action in both was nice & clean, sprayed everything with some dry lube & followed that by 'painting' the guides and springs/bushings with a small model brush loaded with graphite. WOW what a difference! I do not have a decent trigger spring gauge, but will check them out with a Friends when I get the chance - with the gauge I do have the one went from over 6 1/2lbs. to about 2 1/2+lbs., and the other went from about 6 1/2lbs. to just over 2lbs.! The main thing is that they both break nice & clean, and seem exetremely consistant, and have made the guns FUN to shoot again! Thank You So Very Much for ALL Your hard work and dedication to this country, and then for helping others with the products you have developed and shared with us! The Free Resources part of you website AND the Great video instructions are also much appreciated. We will do our best to spread the word about your site & products, both Top Quality! Thank You Again! Take Care
The kit works flawless, reduced trigger pull dramatically! Posted on 597 forum about kit! Thanks
I recently installed a Mcarbo spring kit with a Volquartsen hammer. I can't believe the huge difference in trigger pull. I don't have a guage but it seems about 1/3rd that of factory trigger pull. What a GREAT product!!! I'm now able to have sub MOA groups at 50yrds.
In my review of the 597 hammer spring kit I forgot to mention that while the assembly was apart I also polished the middle of the hammer pin, where the hammer pivots, leaving the ends unpolished. Also should apoligize for the spelling. Thanks Again
The service was great and the product performs exactly as advertised. I followed the installation video and had no surprises when installing the spring kit myself. Without an actual trigger pull gauge, a trip to the range confirmed that the trigger pull was reduced, breaking with just the right amount of force to allow for aimed shots without the problem of dragging the sights of point of aim. Money well spent.
This is the best modification you can do to the 597. I have a fully customized 597 with 1.5 inch douglas bull barrel. Custom Monte Carlo walnut stock. With the addition of this spring kit I have a steady 1.75 lb trigger. Shooting groups consistently measuring .237..Thanks for the spring kit. Just what I needed to get down to where I needed the trigger pull to be..
I installed this product along with a Volquartzen target trigger and edge extractor. The trigger feels amazing. I did however have to very lightly dress the alloy spacers with a fine file. They were a bit tight and caused some binding with the hammer and some failure to fires. All seems good now.
Easy to install but haven't had a chance to shoot yet...great customer service
