I own a Remington 597 and have some of the same issues everyone else has. I heard about this product while looking through some online Forums. I figured for the price it was worth a shot. I ordered it and was floored at how fast it was shipped. Not what I expected from a company other than Amazon. I received the spring kit and it was super easy to install. The spring and bushings appear to be excellent in their quality. Much better than what came from the factory. I haven't had a chance to shoot the .22 since the install, but I'm quite sure I will be pleased. You can't go wrong buying this product. I know you'll be as pleased as I am.

replaced Trigger spring in Remington 597. Original trigger weight was 3.5 lbs. After replacing the spring kit and hammer with a Vorquartsen Hammer the trigger weight went up to 4 lbs. Not what I was expecting. Plan on putting old spring back in rifle.
I don't know why yet, but my trigger went from 6.5 lbs. to 5 lbs. Was hoping for a 3 1/2 to 4 lbs. Had to take a little off the bushings for a smoother fit. Hammer seemed to be binding. Still have some work to do......
For anybody looking to make there Remington 597 better and get the best accuracy out of it this is the way to GO!!!!!!!!!!!!

Installed in less than 15 minuets with a Volquartsen hammer. very crisp trigger pull resulting in much tighter groups.

<p>The kit installed easily. The gun has some years on it so the trigger assembly got a good cleaning as well. </p><p>The character of the shot cycle was changed completely. Very little take-up with a light release. Didn't understand how much a proper spring could change the overall function of the trigger. Much more accurate, too. Shooting finally at 80yds, when we walked to the target my wife got a big smile at the results.</p><p>Recommended.</p>
I like the product, it shaved 1lb of the trigger pull,my next mod will be the upgrade target hammer,great service,good price.
I was able to install the trigger spring kit myself. I watched the video, and I thought the tip of putting a little piece of dowel through the parts to hold them together while they were slid into place was extremely clever. Using that simple trick made the installation ridiculously easy. (Never would have thought of that!) Before the installation, the trigger pull was about 4 lbs 10 oz. I was hoping that putting in the kit would take it down to about 2 lbs or so but it only dropped it one pound, to 3 lbs 10 oz. Still a significant improvement as far as I'm concerned. I gave it four out of five stars only because I didn't get the trigger pull weight reduction I was hoping for. However, the price was low, the instructions were great, the kit arrived in my mail box two days after I ordered it, and everyone I spoke with on the phone was friendly and helpful.

Received the subject item and had it installed in less than 15 minutes. Did not need the instructions for installation since it was so straight forward and I have worked on several Remington 597s. However, I would have surely accepted your invitation to view your installation video or call your tech people if it had been necessary. Also, I am most impressed with your follow up after sales process. In my experience, no one has ever done that (offering technical assistance after shipment of a firearms litem.) Of course others do after-sales follow-up in their marketing, but in my experience, never beyond asking about shipping, courtesy of contacts, and satisfaction of the product (all on a scale of 1 to 10.) And Finally, I am very satisfied with the MCARBO item. According to my trigger pull gage, it is 1.5 lbs. lighter at about 4.5 lbs. and has a no creep, with a crisp let off. Just what I wanted. I do not like rifle triggers which have extremely light trigger pull. So, thank you very much MCARBO, It is nice to find a firearms aftermarket part that actually does what the manufacture says it will. Sure made a tack driver out of my little 597.
