This is one of my favorite upgrades. Took less than a couple minutes to install and I love the functionality of it.
There are a few companies out there that are designing and producing high quality firearms accessories which consistently exceed expectations. Mcarbo is one of those companies and this mount is one of those products. I wanted a mount that would allow me to leave my optic attached (preserving zero) but not prohibit or interfere with the fold. As a bonus I dreamed that the mount would allow for the use of the OEM iron sights as a backup if the optic failed (I didn’t want to remove the irons or have to spend money on fancy aftermarket sights). This mount is idiot proof to install, lifts the optic above the irons so you don’t need to remove the front sight to get a sight picture, flips in and out of position without a perceptible shift in zero, and gets out of the way if you want to use the irons. The design team checked all the boxes. Well done. Time will tell about durability but the manufacturing looks and feels precise and I have no reason to think this won’t hold up to normal levels of civilian range abuse. Mcarbo has hit it out of the park.
The mount itself is amazing. No issues with it. The shims are a great add to the product as i was able to get my sight adjusted near perfect. It would have gotten 5 stars if it were not for the fact that the allen heads are too small and strip out easily. I had to order new screws after taking the mount off and on for shimming.
The one they sent me is defective. The part should have been inspected before leaving since it was $150 for one part. The process to get a replacement is average and I am dissatisfied with it. I posted a video that the employees saw on the FB page of the defect. At this point I ordered the item over 2 weeks ago, got it then had to find time to ship it back during a busy week. Now I have no idea how long it will be before I receive a replacement for a single $150 part. I'm not wealthy, I'm poverty level in Washington state, I spent hard earned and saved money so it's not like I can just drop another $150 plus tax and shipping then get a refund or I would.
Changed the feel of the whole gun. very stable platform. quality metal. Continuing my MCarbo journey in upgrading my Sub-2000 !
Unfortunately, one of the bolts you have to remove for attaching the mount was striped (from the factory, I think) and i couldn't get the nut off. I had to drill out the bolt head and then cut the bolt in half with a multi-tool to get the bolt off, It took about 2-2 1/2 hours to get the bolt out, then about 5 minutes to finish attaching. Not that it's installed I love it, been shooting just about every day and this mount makes a gun that's fun to shoot even more fun.
great way to have a red dot and still allow the sub 2000 to fold feels sturdy and seems to be built to last. very happy thanks mcarbo
When installed, it sat at a slight angle and the sights did not line up with the gun. Had to return. Very disappointed.

This is a phenomenal addition to the Kel-Tec Sub 2000. Easy to install, allows co-witness, and it is rock solid at holding zero. It's essential if you have old eyes like mine and need a red dot sight. I hesitated because of the price, but I'm glad I finally saved up the money for it. 200 rounds and no complaints.
Wow. I've been designing precision tools and fixtures for almost 40 years for production environments and I have to say, I was entriqued with the design when I saw the release video. So as soon as these mounts were available I snapped one up. When I received the part I was very pleased. Great design, excellent execution! Simple install and so far, rock solid. Don't have many rounds through it yet to check for any drift but am thrilled so far. I have the complete trigger kit, polished feed ramp, shock bumper, muzzle brake, aluminum trigger guard, and now the optics mount. You guys make some of the best upgrade pieces I have found anywhere. Thanks for listening and bringing such well made parts at very good price points. I hope to be a happy customers for years to come.
Installation video was great. Made it very easy and answered any questions that can come up. Haven’t made it to the range yet, but like the feel and look.
watch the included video and see someone else do the install, and you won't have any issues. it took longer to let the loctite set than it did putting it all together+get myself zeroed in. i popped the dot over to the side and back again about a dozen times at the range, my zero stayed true. i'd recommend getting a 1" picatinny riser to help keep it comfy/away from the irons, but that's me.
