There are basically 3 options for mounting a red dot on the sub 2000, they all have pros and cons but this one in my opinion has the best pros. The con is that the rifle becomes very wide when disabled and hard to put in any bag that doesnt have space. Pros are that its very easy to snap into position and its not mounted to the plastic. Great product, there's just no way to make a perfect solution to a folding rifle with a red dot.
The Kel-Tec Sub2000 has an inherent number of issues. For one, keeping a red dot zeroed when using the picanny rail. This mount is the only one on the market I found that maintained its zero integrity shot after shot.... even after my the 500 rounds. Recommend using all M*Carbo products to change out the OEM ones... turning your Sub2000 into an amazing self-defense resource! Videos are amazing for the installs... great work M*Carbo.

Are looking over several different sight mounts for the Kel-Tec Sub 2000 we choose this one because of the ease use and installation. The mount works great with the Romeo 5 and my son loves it. I first tried the cheaper 45 degree offset rails which allow the Sub200 to fold, but learned the hard way that once mounted most red dot optics stick out beyond the edges of the mount just far enough that, again, it will not fold. This MCarbo optic mount works, holds zero excellently and allows full folding, but it is a bulky solution. When you fold the MCarbo sight mount and the rifle, the sight will then stick up too high to the side to fit in my soft case for the sub2000. So yes it works perfectly as intended, but for me at least, it creates the problem of finding another form of wider case to carry and store it in. One of the great things about the sub2000 is how slim a package it is when folded and this sight mount creates a very wide section in an otherwise thin and packable rifle. Hence the 4 instead of 5 stars.
Excellent quality and performance. I find the MCARBO logo design/placement to be a little unsightly but otherwise no complaints.
This is by far the best optic mount for the Sub2K.
Easy install and works as advertised. Very high quality. However I would recommend getting the mount that folds and pivots all the way under when stored. This one creates an unwanted “print” and potentially a snag hazard in a quick response situation.

Very fast shipping! The mount works exactly as advertised by MCarbo and other users. Very simple to install and operate. Everything fits perfectly with no adjustments, grinding, or smoothing. Zero problems with folding and locking or unlocking the Sub2K. Using a Bushnell TR 25 without a riser and I am able to cowitness with the factory sights. Keep up the good work!!
This is worth the wait! Fine detail workmanship and smooth operation. Easy to install. Price is fair, when detail is of experience designers.
This optic mount does precisely what it was engineered to do. And I say 'engineered,' because this wasn't just made, it was crafted spectacularly well. Installation is simple and easy (once you figure out how to hold the lock nuts in place to start the threads on the mount screws, and matched with my handy Bushnell red dot, it's made my Sub 2 k much more accurate.
I was one of the 1st to buy this product. It makes all the difference in the world. I have bought 8 accessories for my Gen. 2000 and everyone of them is superb. When it's all done and over, I will put every accessory they make for it on my 2000. Fantastic products! Dennis
