I received and installed the spring today in my sons 20 year old 870 youth 20 gauge that I'm turning into a dedicated turkey rig....I tested 5 times and the average trigger pull of the stock spring was 4 pounds 7.22 ounces....installed M-Carbo spring in about 10 minutes...the very first 5 pulls averaged 3 pounds 6.32 ounces....I racked and pulled the trigger about 20 times and tested again and the 5 test string averaged 3 pounds 4.45 ounces....really nice!!!
Changed pull from 4.5lbs to 3lbs on my slug gun. Great improvement. The replacement was also incredibly easy.
Reduced trigger pull from about 4.5 to 3.5 pounds in about three minutes. So easy! My first MCARBO kit where I was finished before the video ended! Love your products and the results!
I ordered two spring kits. I used them in an attempt to remedy the terrible trigger on newer (10 year and 5 year old) express supermags. The install was beyond simple, it took no longer than 3 minutes. The spring fixed my sons gun and made it very serviceable. My gun on the other hand had so much creep from sloppy Remington machine work, that the lighter spring exaggerated the miserable trigger function. I took the trigger group apart and honed the seer and hammer surfaces. I didn’t change the geometry, so the creep still exists but it is nowhere near as gritty. Both guns are perfectly fine for wing shooting or small game. Since I use them strictly for turkey, I would prefer a rifle like trigger. I anticipate a trip to a gunsmith to fix my trigger. That being said, the springs functioned exactly as I hoped they would.
I actually placed the 870 spring in a model 11-87, being the spring is a universal part used by Remington. The spring has worked great in reducing the trigger pull. I’m sorry I didn't use my trigger scale and record the before and after pull weights, but I estimate the pull to be reduced by 2-3 pounds. Thank you for your great customer service and products.
Of all the trigger spring kits I have done this was the biggest and most noticeable difference in pull and easiest to install. Love your products! Looking forward to going to the range to test it out.
The spring did the job, it reduced my trigger pull by at least 2+ pounds. Easy install, great increase in accuracy at 50, 100 yards! Never had such tight slug placement. I should have ordered the super grease, was going to reorder it but the ship costs of the grease changed my mind. I think it would have enhanced the trigger operation. My error, you should recommend them bought at the same time. Sure beat paying $80-100 for the Timney kit.
i bought 2 of these 870 sear springs it was easy to install i waited till after hunting season i just installed it in less time than it took to clean my 760 it sure is a great up grade the trigger pull went form 5 pounds to 3.25 pounds i will definitely be ordering more of the springs for all my 760s and 1100s

I am very pleased with the Trigger now. Works great.. No doubt... Buy it :) Trigger pull is now around 1 kg. (only had an old fish scale to measure with) Old trigger pull was 2,2 kg.
Excellent product. did exactly as advertised. Easy installation and and completely did away with heavy trigger pull. I would recommend for any 870 out there.
This is my second one. First was on a 20 gauge 870 slug gun, this one was for a 12 gauge 870 slug gun. Simple swap of the trigger spring. I don’t have a scale but the drop in trigger pull weight is immediately noticeable and very much to my liking. Thank you again MCarbo!
