Was having trouble with stock mag release , mags weren’t locking in good.upgraded this to this part and mag release works great now!! Thanks to tech support for helping out today!! Vary happy with my upgrades!!
Installed product yesterday. Works as intended to help with magazine release BUT ran into an issue when I wanted to switch the magwells from Glock to Ruger. There is an indentation on the back of the part that indexes with the shaft of the release mechanism. Because of this (my observation) the new part doesn't push the shaft over far enough to disengage the magwell to remove it. I found that backing off the installation screw about 2-3 turns allows the shaft to move far enough for magwell release. More an inconvenience than a real problem as you have to get out the hex keys anyway to do the change.
I was very happy with this addition, until I tried to use it in a practice match. After 10 shots I no longer had a magazine in my gun. My magazine release had come apart. I found everything but the magazine release spring. Even tried waving a magnet to no avail. My only point is to use some lock tight on this screw. I had no idea that this could be a problem and would have sworn that it was tight. Save yourself some grief and take this one extra step.
I have a new Ruger PC 40 Carbine and noticed right away that the mag release, while well placed, was hard to locate and activate without eye contact. This well made and well engineered replacement completely corrects this issue.
The extended mag release is an excellent upgrade! Without any extra thought, the magazine release is quick to locate and easy to press and release, making your tactical memory that much easier!
Very is to locate and not to big. I had my doubts and worried it would be to big, but I was wrong
The extended mag release size is ideal, versus the OEM part. I installed it on my Ruger PC Carbine. It took away the searching for the button. Mags drop effectively. Great product by M*CARBO.

What a difference the magazine release made on my PC 40. Simple to install. Part arrived just a couple days after ordering.
When I tighten the screw down snugly, the mag release will not pop back out, unless I press on it on the other side of the gun. If I back the screw out 1/8 turn works great. Put blue lock-tight on it, will see if it stays together when shooting it. Original part works fine no matter how tight it is. Not sure what the issue is with it, lubed it also, did not mater.
Got this a week or so ago. It was a quick install and it is perfectly matched to the the design of the receiver. Looks great, Excellent drop in part. Thanks to mcarbo.
I purchased the Extended Magazine Release to enhance the capability and feel of my PC Carbine. The quality, fit, and finish of the products exceeded my expectations. The installation was painless, a perfect replacement for the OEM component. In action, the function over stock is much better, releasing the magazine is thought free and effortless! Must have for the PC Carbine. I will be purchasing the same products to upgrade my wife’s rifle in the near future and, based on this product, I will absolutely make more purchases for other firearms.
This mag release button by Mcarbo makes changing mag's effortless. Although not a Vet myself. I have a large military presents in my family and will always support our Vets!
Much better than factory as far as ease of mag release. I might recommend lubricating the internal mag release mechanism after removing the factory and prior to installing the MCarbo. After initially replacing, it was a bit sticky when pressed. After a bit of oil on internals, no worries...worked like a charm.
Received the mag release very timely and installed it immediately. It was extremely easy to install. My only concern is that when the carbine is layed on a hard surface with the release down it has ejected the mag on a couple occasions. I will see how it works out in the future I may (or may not) remove it.
Fit perfectly. I was worried at first about getting original screw out. Tight fit with small Allen screw. New larger one provided that worked great. I am impressed with the personal contact on my orders. A pleasure to work with a truly professional company. Thanks
