Bought my carbine brand new. after a few reviews suggested some upgrades I purchased this item and installed it on a rife with less than 10 rounds fired.
Huge improvement over stock, and the red looks slick on the gun, thanks y'all!!
One of several parts that I ordered from M Carbo and the extended magazine release was left installed as the same (left side) location as it came from Ruger. The extended magazine release along with the extending charging handle made for a quick and smooth transition for magazine change, charge into battery and take up position to fire.
Installed it today and immediately loved it. It’s the perfect size. I can find it and depress it easily but it’s not so big that I worry about accidentally dropping the mag. It also looks great and the texture is just right. 10 out of 10 I would buy again.
I installed this product and it pulled the entire assembly to one side and didn't function. So I took it off and tried it again pushing it to the center before tightening,well that didn't work out pulled itself back to one side and kept getting stuck. I could see daylight through the unstuck side with a sizable gap. So the predrilled hole is out of alignment. This sucks. A 1/16 inch gap is huge with such tight clearances.
I installed this release and it rubbed one side so much that it didn't move at all. The predrilled hole is off by a 1/16 which is a lot with tight clearances. I was going to send it back but that's such a hassle,. I decided to take it to the grinder. Wow is this soft aluminum. I quickly stop grinding and used 400 grit sand paper. Now it works but still rubs on the opposite side of the release. So if you have the newest version of Ruger PC carbine I'd say Don't buy this.
This is a must have upgrade to the PC Carbine. Installs very easy and looks great. Fast shipping. Way faster when changing mags.
I purchased this Extended Mag Release along with the Muzzle Break and Charging Handle even before I picked up my PC 9mm Chassis model. This mag release fully exceeded my expectations. I watched the install video and when Chris discussed the texture he was not kidding. It is a really neat feel that provides that positive grip but its not overwhelming with deep cuts that may snag or cut. It releases the mag crisp and it extends just enough from the factory protection ribs that you can feel it without seeing it. After 2 days of range time and over 200 rounds I just placed my 2nd order to add the bolt pins, recoil set and extractor. Cant go wrong.
High quality and well made the extended magazine release is easy to install and once installed it is easier to find for rapid magazine change.
So much better than the factory mag release.
This part is the real deal. So superior to the stock button I am embarrassed that Ruger didnt make this part. 5 minute flawless installation and you will never look back...perfect fit and finish...

I have to say, I was a little skeptical about purchasing this extended mag release. This was one of many upgrades, and I thought ehh...what the hell. I ran approximately 10 clips of ammo through my pc carbine, and thought all of the clips released decent. Then I installed this little jewel, and oh boy! No more "searching" for the mag release, no more over exaggerated thumb effort, just punch and go. The knurling is just right, and I highly recommend you add this to your list of gotta haves.
