Had installed by certified gun smith went out to shoot and it want fire every time have to pull loader back to reset trigger to go off and then sometimes it fires when letting bolt go back forward on it's on really wished it would not have caused these problems cause it helped the trigger pull alote but I don't want a gun going off on its own when u load a round in chamber
Chris you guys are great coming out with these upgrade's for the Savage 64 rifle's, the spring kit works perfect and what a difference it made in the trigger pull, the install was easy after watching the video a couple times, just have to take your time and watch what you are doing, you guy's keep up the great work
I received the kit and installed it. The kit was easy to install and the instructions were clear. The kit reduced the trigger pull by 35% and resulted in better accuracy while shooting. This set up makes for a nice 64 riffle for a great price.
Just slapped the M*Carbo trigger spring kit and aluminum aircraft trigger in my Savage 64 22 with the help of the YouTube tutorial videos. Dropped my trigger pull to a nice 3 pounds as advertised! Thanks M*Carbo for the awesome upgrade!!
While installing the Savage 64 trigger spring, I launched it into somewhere. I contacted Mcarbo and they immediately sent replacement spring super fast! I’ll be installing very soon. Great service and support.
first of all, thanks for the instructional video, it's definitely mandatory viewing before undertaking the task of replacing these two springs....while it is not horribly difficult to replace, a bit of hand and eye coordination is necessary to line up the trigger release spring...it was a pain, but persevere!! again, really nice product brothers, thanks again...it makes a rather mundane and inexpensive firearm feel like a class weapon!!
This made a huge difference in the trigger of my 64. I Just go to shoot it today for the first time and wow what a difference. Well worth it. IMO
Install was easy, and I can definitely tell the difference. Put a half brick through my 64 since install and I love it.

What a difference in trigger pull. Tightened my grouping significantly. Definitely worth it. Why not change the trigger at the same time for the 6061 black aluminum offered by MCARBO? The instructional video by Chris made the change over a breeze. As they say in the CAF, “keep it simple, stupid”.
Installed the trigger spring kit, and was easy and quick to do. I measured the trigger pull with my RCBS spring type trigger pull gauge. This gauge only goes to 72 oz, and it would not release the trigger. After installation, it routinely tripped at 58- 62 oz. It is much nicer to use when I tried it dry firing with a spent case inserted. Once the rain quits I will have to go to the range and try it out. It has to make an improvement as the trigger is so much better now.
Works great, easy install. A great upgrade for an extremely accurate .22, I really hope someone considers making a better aftermarket magazine for these guns, like a 25 Round drum due to the magazine shape.
M*CARBO is awesome period. I have a Stevens Model 62, this worked perfect as it has the same action as the Savage 64. I don't have a way to measure trigger pull but is is much less than stock. very happy, should be your first upgrade to a Savage 64/ Stevens 62.
The trigger spring kit brought my trigger pull down to 3.25 lbs. The installation was easy , it took about 15 minutes once I watched the installation video. I highly recommend this product if you are looking to reduce your trigger pull. It made a world of difference for my Savage 64 fv-sr.
