I purchased this recoil spring for my new HP22A. The spring is definitely stronger than original. Looks great! Will install it in the near future after the factory spring wears out. Only have about 100rds thru the gun so far. I was presantly surprised how quickly it shipped. Thanks for the MCARBO sticker.

MUCH better spring than oem! Be careful when installing slide or it will escape and you will be easter egg hunting for it. Dont ask me how i know lol.
A bit stiffer than the factory springs. The gun still cycles all the 22LR i feed it. I checked the used original spring with factory OEM and it had definitely lost some of its length. The mcarbo spring is longer than even the PA factory new ones! I want this gun to last despite its quirks.

The hp22a feels like a better gun and value than it already is with this M*Carbo recoil spring. When you rack the slide with the original, it is the only part that really feels kinda less than adequate for 22lr. When you open it up to find that recoil spring you know why. I installed this new extra power recoil spring with the M*Carbo trigger springs kit and it feels so much better when shooting and racking the slide. I like the quality of this product and that it is american made. Can't go wrong with the price and time spent for a much better shooting budget pistol.
I purchased a few of the Phoenix Arms HP22a pistols i was'nt happy with the stock springs and wanted to enhance this pistol. I have used Mcarbo in alot of other builds and very happy with Mcarbo products, this Recoil spring makes a major difference, the stock spring is a failure Mcarbo provides the ability to enhance and provide quality and durability

This spring is a must! It is a huge upgrade. You can feel the difference. The slide does not slam back and it allows you too shoot higher velocity .22Lr. I wouldn't run stingers but it opens up a whole lot more you can do with this inexpensive little pistol. On high speed photography I was almost floating the slide with CCI standard velocity on a new Mcarbo spring. The stock spring never came close. Stop reading and buy it.
Ok so I received my new recoil spring the other day. I installed it which can be a bit of a trick to do on this gun, but I found a shortcut that saves on time and your patience. The quality of the spring is excellent. The improvement in the action of this gun is nothing short of awesome Several videos on Youtube noted that the original spring from the factory is a bit weak and especially during the breaking in period the slide would not always close without a little help. I know this will go away after I put a few more rounds through it. However with this spring it snaps closed much easier meaning when the bullet recycles it will help stop any jams or light strikes. The action is much tighter and smoother than original. Overall a perfect add-on or replacement from the stock one. A note about MCarbo. Shipping was fast and arrived ahead of schedule. They also do a nice follow up. Great Job Guy's and Gal's!
