After looking around for a replacement trigger I watched the video on M-CARBO and decided to try it. The other option was expensive and did very little to improve the trigger pull. I didn't do as much polishing as they showed but mostly changed the springs. Trigger pull went from 7# to 4 3/4#. Since this will be used as a Pin Gun that will be perfect for me.
I purchased an M&P that was traded in from a police department. I followed the polishing and spring installation video precisely which was excellent. When I started to put it together I noticed that the sear spring was much smaller in my sear housing than the replacement spring. I had to use the original sear spring therefore I did not get as much of a decrease in trigger pull that I expected. Trigger pull Went from 7 lbs to 5.25 lbs. The quality of the parts were great but the results in this particular handgun was disappointing.
This hit, the excellent tutorial video, and a 3rd party, (Apex) trigger took this, M&P 1.0 .40 all the way from being a, "boat anchor" to one of my favorites. What a difference details make!
The trigger upgrade kit was received as advertised, and in good condition. My problem was with the video that showed how to install the product. Being new to firearms after not having handled one for nearly 60 years, I followed the M-CARBO video step-by-step. My first problem occurred when attempting to remove the takedown lever from the locking block before the locking block was removed from the frame - the frame obstructed the takedown lever from being swung into the upright position. After fiddling with it for 15 minutes or so, I removed the locking block, and was then able to remove the takedown lever. My second problem occurred when I disassembled the sear housing block by removing the sear pin. I neglected to put my finger on top of the sear, and a small part I later learned was the sear actuator popped out and onto the floor. The M-CARBO video doesn't even show a sear actuator, and I was temporarily at a loss as to what the part was and where and how it was installed. I finally searched for different disassembly instructions and came upon a video posted by Apex Tactical at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4zzrmIaVbRk, which perfectly matched my gun, and made reassembly relatively easy.
Really refreshed and cleaned up the trigger on my police turn in M&P 40. Would recommend to anyone that wants to do the work themselves.
I got the kit the other day in the mail for my M&P 2.0 9 mm. I pulled up the installation video and less then an hour later I had a nice smooth trigger pull. Very easy to follow along on the video. Great job MCarbo

The M&P is a whole new animal after the spring upgrade! Well worth the time and effort to polish and install. Simply Amazing results!
Just got my M&P .45acp and wanted a smoother, lighter trigger pull. Could not have done the swap, sanding, and polish job without the videos. Ninety-five percent of the video pertained to my model (2.0 version). A couple of features and procedures were different than the video....so....pay attention to the internal components of your firearm in the event they are different. End result is a 2lb reduction in trigger pull, and a much smoother, less gritty feel. This is my second trigger spring kit, and plans for another for my Ruger LC9s.
This kit really made a difference. Now I have to relearn how to shoot this pistol.
The video instructions are explanatory and detailed, which as we all know with our firearms, is of the utmost importance. The kit itself improves upon the performance of the firearm. I will be a return customer.
I've installed several of your kits. The latest went into a 1st gen M&P 45. It started off with a pretty horrible gritty 6 lb. 4.5 oz trigger pull weight. The gent I got it from claimed it had an "Apex kit" in it. Springs perhaps, but the striker block was dead stock, not the rounded one Apex sells. As usual the video was Very Helpful, and it really helped me out. One curve I was thrown was instead of a guide with a nipple on it for the striker block spring I had a flat piece of stainless steel. That took a while to install, amazing what one can do with a thin wooden chopstick, I drove the spacer down, slid the rear sight over far enough to jam the 'stick, and then slowly removed the 'stick. The rest of the job went well. I have your polishing setup with the nice dremel tips and Flitz so things got nice and smooth and shiny. Once it was all back together I measured with my Lyman digital gauge an average pull weight of 4 lbs. 7.1 oz. Not exactly a 50% pull weight reduction, but the trigger IS a lot smoother due to all the polishing work done.
I got this product being a little skeptical. But the video on the website made install very easy. I also did not do nearly as much polishing as they did in the video and after the install I seen a massive improvment! I couldn't be happier

I was a little nervures about taking the pistol apart , your video made it very easy for me .. Thank you one more time. Shooting this gun in the past, at 7 yds. I was shooting in the dirt ,under the target ? Now I'm hitting it , but I still need work, most of my rounds are at 8 o'clock but on the target ?
