Installed this upgrade in a brand new S&W M&P 9mm v1.0 I purchased for $279 that was collecting dust on a resellers shelf. The upgrade was augmented with an Apex Action trigger, trigger only. I only used the MCARBO parts with the bare trigger. The combination gave me a fantastic trigger group for $70 less than the cost of the whole Apex trigger kit. The result is outstanding. The 3.5 lb pull feels like "butter". Combination reduced trigger travel by more than 50%. No trigger creep or spongy trigger. The trigger break is crisp and breaks clean. The trigger reset is much shorter and has a great feel to it.
Bought a police trade in M&P40. Trigger was 6lb upon buying. I stripped, cleaned & polished all matting surfaces which gave me 5.75lb Trigger. Wanted to get the 3 ~3.75lb claimed here so I bought this kit. After proper installation I have a 5.5lb Trigger. Wonder if Mcarbo had a NY Trigger on their test gun, but still unsure how they got such a low pull weight bc I installed everything from the kit as prescribed..
After watching the installation video from the Mcarbo web site i proceeded with the installation. Polishing the parts as outlined in the video and installing the spring kits were fairly straight forward. The one step to be very careful with is removing the two pins that hold the lower trigger group in place. By driving them out it slightly opened one end of the roll pin causing a delay in the reassembly. I had to hand file the end of the pin so that it would go back into the hole, once that was done the remainder of the reassembly went well. The trigger kit and polishing greatly reduced the trigger pull ,(from 7 1/2# to just over 4 1/2 pounds and the fell and reset of the trigger are much nicer. I highly recommend this product as well as all their other spring kits. I have used over 15 of their kits and they never fail to improve the shoot-ability of my firearms.
I order this and it was filled and delivered super fast. I got it in 2 days. I really liked the tutorial video especially the polishing segment. All I can say is "What a difference". Last thing was to take her out to the range and fire a few shots. Wow! Smooth pull with an effortless break. Almost like the trigger had a mind of its own. I definitely have a new family to buy from. I installed the trigger kit on my wife’s M&P shield. I Also purchased the polishing kit and followed the online video in detail. I was amazed at the difference this kit made in trigger pull. When done, I handled the pistol to my wife and asked her to test the trigger. She looked at me with a grin and responded “butter”. I agree.....smooth as warm butter.

I already put a review , but I happy tp put another one. It made me a little nervous at first but after looking at your great video, it was easy to do ! Wife and I took our guns to the sand pit and I was not shooting in the dirt under the target ? Now I can just work on hitting the bulls eye and I still have work to do on that. Thank you guys for making it more fun to shoot now, It was well worth the money for your spring kit. Thank you M*CARBO !!
Purchased (2) Two Spring kits, one for my Full Sized M&P 2.0 and one for my Compact M&P 2.0 I did not purchase the buffing kit as I already had a dremel kit and had everything I needed to buff parts. I elected to try the spring kit vs buying a competitors trigger unit. I am pretty impressed with the trigger. It made a noticeable difference in reduction in trigger weight. Enough so that I will not be buying the competitors trigger. One suggestion that I'd recommend anyone who buys this kit to do. On the striker safety "Piston". put a lot of grease between the two plugers on the safety piston (You'll have to remove the rear sight to get to it). First time I installed this, I didn't put a lot of grease in it and I got a gritty trigger. Took it back apart and I greased it a lot (So much I thought I over greased it). Put it back together and the grit feeling is completely gone. I would recommend anyone with a M2.0 to buy these springs.
First off, my parts got to me super fast, and they were easy to install. It turned a gun that I really didn’t enjoy shooting into my favorite gun. The prices are beyond reasonable, high quality and made in the USA. If you’re on the fence jump off and order, you’ll be super glad you did! Aim small miss small
Great video installation instructions, awesome product. I have never really polished internals or really dealt with them personally, but this taught me a lot and definitely improved the overall usability of my M&P 9mm.
Very fast shipping! While this S&W 2.0 9mm is in line, I recently did the same to a Ruger with incredible results! I’m expecting the same. Will post again.
I found the shipping was fast and easy. The product was exactly what I ordered. Unfortunately it did not fit my SW 40. The staff was very helpful when I spoke to them.
i finally did the installed on my m&p 45 fullsize . wow is all i can say what an upgrade. this is the forth mcarbo kit i have done as usual you guys rock. great product if you haven't done this you need to.
Like the video, my M&P4.25" 9mm had a heavy trigger. Using the video as a guide and just being slow and careful ,the results are a totally different smooth trigger. I think it dropped 21/2 to 3 lbs. off the pull. Polishing is a must and compliments the upgrade.
I have done 3 of these so far: M&P 45 compact 1.0, M&P9 fullsize 2.0(early version), and now the M&P9 2.0 compact. I take pictures of the sub assemblies before I proceed for reference later. The Mcarbo video is for reference only, your M&P may have slightly different parts depending on the version it is. This upgrade brought my trigger pull down to 2lbs 7oz average. Great reset and overall better feel, no stacking, consistent wall, and crisp break. Couldn't ask for more. Preparation and patience is the key to a successful installation.
I ordered the kit for my shield 9mm. And I received the product within 3 days. The company reached out to me multiple times to let me know when it would arrive and to see if I had any issues. The instructional video is a must. I had some issues with the rear sight at first, but once that was removed it was a very relaxing process. I just followed along with the video and man did it make a big difference in my trigger pull and made it so much smoother also
