Wanted to shorten and lighten the pull on my full size M&P 9, but I was hesitant to spend the coin on the full Apex kit. Started with the Apex shoe and a good polish. Definite improvement, but still a little heavy. Stumbled upon the MCARBO M&P video on YouTube and figured I'd give it a shot. WELL WORTH IT! Set aside a good 2 hours for polishing so you aren't rushed and enjoy the satisfaction of saving yourself hundreds you'd normally be paying a smith. My final average ended up at 3lbs, and very crisp, clean and repeatable which was my goal.
Installed in my M&P 9c, It went together very nicely and well worth the price and effort.
I am by no means a gunsmith but I do have a little experience working on firearms. The video on this upgrade was very helpful. I followed the video instructions and took my time and the installation went smoothly. I was able to feel a major difference in my trigger pull and reset immediately. Very satisfied with this kit, it's quality, the end results, and the service I received from MCARBO.
Finally got around to installing this kit. Installation was easy with the help of the video. Spend the time sanding and polishing, it is well worth it. Took a state compliant gun with a 10.5 pound trigger down to a smooth 4.5 pound pull. Now I just need to find a way to eliminate the excess trigger movement. Highly recommended
Bought my M&P 45 used, its had some rounds through it. Decided to put the trigger spring kit in and did the polishing also. What difference in trigger feel. Smooth and the break is crisp. Made a big difference in my groups. Only took about an hour to do the whole thing, not bad for the first time I’ve ever done a trigger job myself. Not too light for daily carry either.
My M&P trigger pull was heavy, mushy and completely unsatisfactory. Installed the new kit (it was great fun as well as seriously educational)-which took me about 2 1/2 hours. Now the trigger pull is smooth as silk, breaks cleanly, and best of all significantly tightened my groupings. Thanks guys-brand new and much better pistol for pennies and some time!
I bought this for my gen1 45C and installed it today . Trigger pull before was a very long 10.75. after the polishing and install of the kit I noticed and compared it to another gen1 but it shortened the trigger pull and and lightened it to a average of 6.25 . Which is better than my 2.0 . I was highly impressed with the performance and improvement overall and will be buying more to upgrade my other smiths
I bought this on a whim for my shield plus to see if it fit, I figured if it didn't fit I'd just put it in my old shield 1.0 instead. Well it turned out to fit fine, the trigger pull is vastly improved over the stock shield plus trigger. Totally worth the $25 and elbow grease putting it in.

Great kit. Used on both my M&P 40 full size and compact. Trigger pull now smoother and way lighter. Sorry I don't have a scale to measure it but it has to be close to if not under 4 lbs.
I can’t say how it compares to the apex setup. But, for the price you can not beat it. I also put a Hyve monarch trigger on it. The difference is night and day. Almost no take up and the trigger reset is a positive click. I also did the polishing inside to smooth out the trigger pull. The bench block works and I can’t really complain about it considering how cheap it was to buy. The springs and polishing took me a total of 2 hrs. I was in no rush to get it done so I took my time watching tv while polishing. Thanks for the extremely affordable price and amazing trigger set.
Trigger feels better than I expected. I thought hard about replacing trigger earlier. Sure glad I didn’t. Spring kit much cheaper and Wow it’s smooth. Thanks for tech video also. And thanks for your service to our Nation. May God Bless the USA
I spent a day doing the springs, polishing, and replaced the trigger with the Apex trigger. I screwed up and did not check the pull before I started. Most things about the Spec and regular M&P 2.0 full are the same, however small things are different. The frame has a "U" shaped cut out for the take down lever and no spring. Just stupid easy to see and work around stuff. When it was all lubed and back together what a difference. I did take the time to check the after upgrade pull and found a consistent pull in the low 3 pound range! 3lb 2.4oz to 3lb 4.3oz range! From what I can tell using the M*Carbro springs and just the trigger from APEX (I used the M*Carbro trigger spring) was way cheaper than the apex kit, but from the numbers I saw my trigger pull is better than just using either one.
These guys did a great job with shipping and price. Video was very helpful and thorough. I did note however that my kit sear spring was wrong. The stock sear spring and detent were MUCH smaller than the kit spring so I was unable to use it. All I could do was polish the sear. The piece of 1000 grit could have been slightly larger as it was very hard to hold onto. All around, I would recommend the product.
