C'mon what other significant upgrade can you do for $35. I do recommend the polishing kit too which will bring the cost to around $50 but this is the best bang for your buck upgrade period. Video of how to install is fantastic and doing it yourself will teach you about everything you need to know to take care of your P07. Shipped quick, great service, no gripes. Highly recommend.
I recieved the kit relatively quick. Mcarbo Ftw! Now for the spring kit, it is pretty easy to install. Just be patient and do the polishing work. It makes a difference. I'm also glad this came with the retaining pin, good price and well worth it!
The gun was great before but the trigger pull is so much better with this kit installed. The installation will definitely test your patience but their installation video helps a lot. Will be running their kits on all of ky firearms from here on.
I have become a bit of a CZ fanboy over the past several years. Owning a Shadow 2, SP01, P01, P06, P10C, etc., I have also become spoiled with theeir triggers. I recently bought a P07 for daily carry and was a bit disappointed with the gritty feel and heavy pull of the trigger. After discovering MCarbo on one of the forums, I decided to give this kit a shot. I must say that for the minimal cost, this kit was more than worth it. Not being a gunsmith (though I am very mechanically inclined), I cannot understate how helpful the video was to disassembly, reassembly, and areas to focus on with the sanding and polishing. Fantastic results. Highly recommended.
This trigger kit made a huge difference on both double and single action. Also the video instructions were spot-on. Thank you for creating a great product and for taking the time to produce such great video tutorial.
Great kit. Great tutorial. My DA pull went from 10-1 to 6.5, and my SA pull went from 4.3 to 1.6!. And smooth!
I watched the installation video a number of times. I have done spring kits before and was familiar with how it's done in general. I only had trouble with reinstalling the decocker. I found that the cam that lifts the sear had shifted, probably because I pulled it too hard when removing. After pressing it back into place everything worked perfectly. I chose not to do the full polish, just lightly buffed down the sear and hammer and the trigger bar. At the range the reduced double action pull is greatly improved and the single stage is wonderful. Very happy with the results. For the price its a great value over other options.
I followed the video and was done in an hour. Polish kit was worth it, worked great. DA: 10# 7oz to 7# 13oz. SA: 3# 14oz to 1# 6oz. all for $175 less than Cajun. Buy this kit with the polishing kit.
I recently purchased a P09 Nocturne and new I was going to have to do something about that double action pull. I purchased this kit along with the polishing kit and got to work. This was my first time working on an omega system and instruction video made life easy. MCarbo's videos alone are worth the 5 stars! The hardest part of the install is the firing pin retaining pin - it is a VERY tight fit in the slide (even after lubing the pin) and I would highly recommend a roll pin punch to install this. The rest of the installation went as expected and the results were excellent. It has a very light S/A pull with a rolling break in the 2lb. range. D/A pull dropped to a smooth 6.5 lbs. I took my P09 to the range today to test the new setup and re-zero my dot and put 150 rds of Sellier & Bellot 1245gr through it with 100% reliability. I hear that S&B have harder primers than most so I checked the strikes on the cases and they looked solid.
DA before=10.5lbs, after=8lbs; SA before=4.5lbs, after=2lbs; I did not polish the suggested parts as I was not comfortable that I might over do it. Overall the upgrade is worth it.
I was going to go the Cajun Gun Works route, but I saw the YouTube video for MCarbo and decided to do it myself. The video was precise, and despite never doing any gunsmithing previously, I was able to install the kit. The trigger pulls are now smooth (unlike before, which was like dragging a concrete block across a driveway) and much lighter. I definitely recommend the MCarbo trigger spring kit for anyone that has a CZ P07, it makes a world of difference.
Outstanding kit. Great video tutorials. Gave 5 stars because you don't have a 10 star option.
Admitingly I was intimidated to break down my CZ P-09 but I'm glad I did. The kit arrived in a week and after viewing the video 100 times I gained enough courage to do it. I started at 7pm and finished at 11:30pm. I'm sure that a more experienced and less meticulous person could get it done in half an hour...but not me. First thing the next morning I function tested it at the range with significant results. The ultimate test was to have my elderly mother with arthritis to pull the trigger and she did it with ease. Scary fun trigger pull.
My perception was a bit skewed after putting a 13# spring in a CZ Shadow 2 weeks earlier and this kit still felt a little stiff the day of installation. However, today it feels much smoother. Tough to say how much was from the sanding and how much from the springs (since both were performed/installed), but each pull is noticeably improved. I also installed some sand paper grips and the CZ P09 feels much more welcoming now. This kit was much more reasonable than the $224 trigger kit elsewhere.
Best $30 I ever spent, literally cut DA/SA pulls almost in half. Took 2 hours- did alot of polishing, but it’s a different pistol now, SA is incredible/ BUY IT!
This is the third pistol of mine that I have installed the mCarbo springs in (p365, p365xl, and now my p07). The quality delivered for the price is amazing. The installation videos alone are worth the price of admission! The double action pull on the p07 has been cut in half. The single action, while not being as dramatic a change, is noticeably a lighter break and with the polishing tips in the video, 100% less gritty. The only issue I had was that when pulling out the ejector, I shot the damned spring across the room...never to be heard from again...so be careful to keep your hand over the area so if it shoots out, it will shoot hit your hand first and not some other dimension like mine did! lol Ah well...the 2.00 spring has been delivered and installed and all is good now! Thanks mCarbo! I am sure I will buy from you again for my next project! Chris
