Review
I just recently installed a MCARBO trigger spring kit in my P07. I also did a little polishing while I had the gun apart, however I used materials that I already owned. The spring kit install was somewhat tedious, however the video instructions are spot on and help tremendously. The finished product is much better than the factory trigger. The double action trigger pull is smooth and manageable. The single action trigger is very soft and clean. So far I have no major complaints and believe I received an excellent product at a reasonable price. My only negative point is that the included piece of sandpaper could have been slightly larger. This would have made sanding somewhat easier for those of us with larger fingers. Otherwise a great kit.
Following extremely helpful installation video, I installed all the new springs provided in the kit without polishing any parts. The results (both double and single action pulls) exceed expectations. I am also using DPM Systems Technologies recoil improvement triple spring rod. As a result I got 380 acp felt recoil in a 9mm gun (with array of ammo!), reduced muzzle jump and a match quality trigger. Perfect combination!
Installed this kit in my P-07 9mm that had a very gritty trigger pull, D/A pull with my wheeler digital pull guage was 11lbs, after install and polishing 6.5lbs, S/A before was 6lbs, after a flat 2lbs, so yes this kit hits the mark for me. took it to the range and ran 50 rounds threw it and what a difference, did notice some stacking on the hammer spring in D/A so took it back apart and polished the hammer strut where the spring rides on it, went back to the range and put 150 rounds down range and the stacking is gone, this is one smooth running CZ, works well with my 22LR kadet kit I have for this gun also, Thanks Mcarbo for quality parts at a reasonable price.
Great Video instructions, kit came quickly & Mcarbo has great follow up with shipping info. My kit was installed and the DA pull was higher than original, SA was good. Contacted customer service received quick response & resolved with a replacement spring which delivered the DA & SA pull weights I was after. Give this kit a try.
I wanted to improve the function of my P0-7 by reducing spring(s) tension wherever posible and thankfully MCarbo offers such a spring kit. What finally got me to purchase this spring kit was their installation video which is easy to follow and details all the steps involved. After I performed all the polishing steps and installed all the MCarbo springs my CZ P0-7 feels noticeably easier to operate and the polished components feel like braking fine glass. This trigger spring(s) and polish has transformed my P0-7. ...great product at an affordable price!
The Mcarbo kit is a good one. Products and service from this company are excellent. Installation videos are much needed on CZ products. Thanks guys. My P07 came with a 15# Cajun hammer spring so I measured the trigger pulls before the install. Before: SA= 3#-8.4 oz and DA= 7# 13.6 oz. After kit install: SA= 2# 6.0 oz and DA= 8# 4.2 oz. I changed back to the 15# Cajun hammer spring (just for gits & shiggles) and the results were: SA= 2# 3.4 oz and DA 7# 3 oz. I decided to leave the Cajun hammer spring in and retain the Mcarbo hammer spring for my next CZ.
Purchased and installed the trigger spring kit on my new CZ P-07 Compact. I had put 200 rounds through the weapon before ordering the kit and found the trigger full a bit gritty and cumbersome for accurate and speedy shots. After receiving the kit I watched the M*CARBO video a few times and found the installation easy. Took the time to polish the trigger bar, hammer etc as shown in the demonstration and am completely satisfied with the results. Put 200 rounds downrange after the installation and am impressed with the results. I will admit the second shot was a surprise as the single action pull is light. This Vet will be doing business with you again.
Significantly reduced the trigger weight on single and double action. The video that was supplied on HOW TO was very easy to follow and helpful. Was exactly what I was looking for.
Kit came in record time. Ordered springs, polishing kit and pin removal block. Took me a little longer than I thought it would because of needing to watch video over and over again. All parts have to go in just one way. I could do it again now in less than a hour. Trigger has change all for the better, much smooter and lighter. Don't have tool to check pounds but can feel the change, I like it. Next step will be the range but may be after ammo starts showing up on shelves again. The cost of this mod was to me well worth it. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us . Vet, 1969/1971
The spring kit is an excellent value. Having the video of the install in a benefit. I followed along and installed it easily. I did not install the lighter trigger return spring because I did not like the feel of it. The double action pull is a lot better than stock. I would also suggest doing all of the polishing while you have the components out. It will help smooth things out all threw out your trigger pull. I took it to the range today it performed flawless, with not one problem of any kind. I was able to stay on target much better with the first double action pull instead of always being a little to high with the stock configuration. The stock pull double action on my p-07 tactical was almost 12lbs. In all this kit is worth the money maybe more considering the competition prices. I thank MCarbo for putting out such a great value kit with everything you need included. The quality is there no just go out and buy it and improve your gun.
I have to commend Mr. Nelson for an excellent instructional video on how to install the trigger spring kit for the CZ P07/P09. I've reviewed a number of other videos from other folks on disassembling/reassembling the guns and none were as clear and concise as this video. My gun, an early model P09, sans de-cocker, was already smoothed out somewhat over 10K, with areas of wear clearly shown by the burnishing of parts making contact. Used Simichrome and Dremel to polish only the burnished contact areas. Cleaned up then applied M-pro CLP and grease to all contact areas prior to reassembly. Also added in the de-cocker assembly with the help of the great video. The results were astounding, The lighter double action was welcomed over stock and the single action was definitely an improvement. It passed the one-handed no twitch test and will run another 1K for reliability and safety. If there are no problems, the other kit will be installed in the P07.
Absolutely best instructional videos ever. Shows what each part does before he takes it apart so you can get a visual before its tore apart. After installation of p09 bought kit for sp01. Would highly recommend for even the least mechanical person. Great job mcarbo!
These are not easy to work on, CZ P09's. I polished all the parts by hand. Why, because the surfaces are not smooth due to manufacturing processes. Take your time. My results were more like a 25% reduction in trigger pull. However, the gritty feel is gone. I'll be doing further modifications until I'm satisfied. Enjoy the process!!
My CZ P09 Tactical trigger much lighter and way smother than factory. Loved the installation video, it was spot on step by step and I had no surprises. M*Carbo kits are very good quality, easy installation and for the price you can’t go wrong.
P09 that i bought march '23 seemed way better off from factory than the p07 in the instructional video. You could get away with this kit only. There is a factory coating (black nitrite?) on the internals of p09 I received. No need for the polishing kit as there were no machine marks on the sear or hammer sear surface like that grotesque example in the very well detailed instructional video. Took me about 3 hours including polishing. Really not a tough job if you have all your tools in front of you. I did notice that the firing pin was not penetrating the snap cap as much after the job probably due to the lightened hammer spring. Will report back after some range time as I did notice some people reporting light strikes. Very please with the quality of the parts and instructions.
This set of springs fit and work well in the P-09 which was installed by my gunsmith. There is a noticeable difference between the factory springs and these springs. Relevant information is provided in the web site. Very reasonable price and fast shipping. I will buy again and highly recommend this company.
