I rarely write reviews, however I am compelled to write one about this product. I purchased this kit less than a week ago. I just installed it tonight. I will have to say IMMEDIATELY the difference is night and day. I followed the video to the letter. It was my first time breaking down a P07 mainly because it's my first one and it's very new. Bought the polishing kit to "take it to the next level" and I regret nothing. I highly recommend it.
Haven't got to shoot it yet, but the spring replacement was a fun and simple project to do. Trigger is much liter now and a lot smoother.
I bought this kit for a P09. i feel like this trigger job is the bare minimum a P09/07 needs. I don’t have a trigger gauge to measure but the trigger feels lighter. The polishing really cleaned up my double action which was not good at all out of the box it was “crunchy” now the double action is smooth like my Sig and FN’s but it’s lighter than those now. My P09 is my first CZ definitely won’t be my last it’s becoming my favorite pistol to shoot.
So glad I found this website. Prices are great for the springs for my P09. I won this pistol in a raffle and thought about selling it considering the total price with FFL was $45 dollars. But the more I shot it, the better I liked it. The spring kit will make a good pistol better. The price is fair for the springs.
Bought the kit for a young P07 for the obvious reasons. Kit arrived as advertised without delay. Purchased the polishing kit (great products and fun way to burn some clock) and a bench block which appears to be a 3D printed product. All parts went in without a hitch thanks to the wicked solid how to video. I don't own a gauge, but DA and SA are noticeably lighter. Especially the SA! It's buttery smooth with taking the time to polish the necessary contacting surfaces. I only have approx. 400 rounds down the pipe, and the old retaining pin was starting to show signs of wear. The provided replacement pin is a low price insurance policy. If you're sitting around contemplating, your wasting time. Buy this kit. You will dig it! Thank you Chris and team!!
The instructional video on YouTube was very helpful. It made installing the spring set fairly simple. The newly installed springs really do change the feel of the DA. The pull of the SA is also a big improvement. Would highly recommend to anyone unsatisfied with their stock P07
Fairly easy to install, way better than stock
I followed the directions in the video as described, including the sanding, but only hand polished a bit instead of using the rotary tool. The DA is smoother, noticeably lighter, but still firm. The SA is now super light. Now, I've never used the CGW kit, so I wouldn't know if it's worth 11x this kit, but this definitely got the results I was seeking for $20 and a couple of hours. One note: the Heavy Duty Firing Pin Retaining Pin included in the kit seemed to be too big. It just really had a hell of a time trying to go in, which led to me deforming the end I was hammering. It may have been my fault if I was babying it too much at the start instead of getting it in ASAP. I eventually just conceded and used the original one, which was still in fine shape as it tapped smoothly out at the beginning and went smoothly right back in. Definitely recommended for your P-07!
If you are not very good at working on firearms I could see how this would be difficult. Rather than leave a bad review pay for the install. This is a great kit with good video support. I did not test trigger pull weight but have 2 p07's and can tell right away trigger pull weight is less as well as smoother. The key is take your time and lay out parts as you took them apart just like the video. You will find for under $50 you can't go wrong. I have paid triple and gotten half the results on other brand pistols.
It is exactly as advertised, and they have a YouTube video instruction to.teach you how to do it quite easily.
Great Cheap Kit - Massive improvement over stock trigger
I own a lot of CZ pistols and found a smoking deal on a P-09, but I was surprised at the quality of the stock trigger. I looked into trigger kits from a company I had heard of before but the cost was almost as much as the pistol. I found this kit through an internet search and for the price I decided to give it a shot. The installation was pretty easy since the video is VERY well done. After installation and polishing per the instructions, the trigger is very much improved. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase and for the price it is an amazing value.
This kit made a world of difference on my P07 - very smooth and light DA, very fast and light SA. The installation video is top-notch. While I have a more recent production gun than that in the video, with better finished internals, the polishing was still beneficial.
Initially watching the p07 video inspired the confidence that I could do the installation myself. The video clarity gives great view.of all parts and how to align everything. Great explanation of every step. Actually installing was easier than I expected. The improved performance is awesome but for me the learning experience was even better.
This kit is well worth the money no doubt! The installation video from MCARBO is excellent. Took about an hour total to install and polish the internals. The only negative about the kit is the trigger return spring seems to be to weak. Results may very but my spring made the reset very slow and sometimes wouldn’t return until my finger was completely off the trigger. I just put the oem return spring back in and it’s great. I will mention I was shooting mostly suppressed so maybe the spring was a little to weak to over come the extra gunk being blown back into the action. All in all great product and I would definitely buy again. Thanks MCARBO!
Got this kit to make my P07 function even better than it came from the factory. I definitely reccomend polishing some parts while you're in there, it only helps to amplify the new (and better) feel. DA is noticeably lighter, but still decent for a DA pull. SA is an absolute dream! If you're not a novice at installing gun parts, watch the video they have. Its very well done and makes it look easy (its really not hard to do).
