Money Hi Point C9

I bought a Hi Point C9 with the money print just because it looks cool. The reasons for my purchase of a Hi Point was the price and the durability videos of the weapon. The C9 is a beast when locking the slide to the rear. You have to apply quite a bit of force to move the slide. I considered the trigger kit because I knew it would upgrade the weapon tremendously. I was right, once the trigger kit was installed and C9 reassembled the slide was easy to operate. McCarbo's kit majorly improved my Hi Point and I am extremely satisfied.

Much better

My C9 has always been a struggle to shoot with the factory spring, arthritic fingers and small hands. This upgrade has made this firearm so much easier for me to use.

Much better trigger

Got spring in my C-9 and noticed much improvement. Though there was no data re: use in the new 10mm pistol, I went ahead and put one in mine. It is functioning fine so far.

After changing the spring the trigger pull went from 8 1/2 lbs. to 6. Which made for a much smoother pull a d easer for me to hold on the target

Not what I expected

Started by removing the right side grip panel. Polished the trigger linkage and we're it makes contact.applied a small amount of Lucas gun grease. Installed the M*CARBO Hi Point sear spring. I have an 8 lb. trigger scale and before I performed the work my trigger pull was was past 10 lbs.. Put it all back together and now it's breaking at a constant 8 lbs. I would have thought it would be a little lighter but it is what it is. I guess my savage Axis trigger spring kit from M*CARBO impressed me so much I had my hopes a bit to hi on the Hi Point. It did decrease the trigger pull some, I'll take what I can get.

So easy to change out

Received the spring yesterday.

Had it put in the gun in less that 15 min. Trigger feels way better. I'll give an update once I get a chance to shoot it.

Solid Upgrade for a C9

I picked up a Hi Point C9 from a friend for $75 so I could have a knockaround gun that I could upgrade/work on while leaving my nicer CC pistol alone. The C9 is a bit rough when it's stock, but after polishing the feedramp and replacing the trigger spring it's a surprisingly fun gun to shoot. The stock trigger spring is very stiff, which leads to a very heavy trigger, but this replacement makes the trigger pull much lighter and smoother.

I don't carry this pistol on a regular basis, so I can't speak to any safety concerns about having a much lighter trigger pull (around 5lbs compared to around 11lbs at stock), but for a truck gun or a range plinker I highly recommend picking up this aftermarket trigger spring. Between the low price and the ease of installation it's the best drop in upgrade you can do for the C9.

The fix for sore trigger finger

My 2 Hi Point c9 pistols both had a measured trigger pull of 13 to 15 pounds ans it varied, After the simple trigger spring installation on each pistol the trigger pull is now 6 pounds and it is a repeatable 6 pounds time after time. No more sore finger!

The price was great and shipping was superb! Nothing but praise from me to my shooting friends!

I had never ventured into trigger springs. Saw this and watched the video and just knew I could do this. What a huge difference in shooting. I wish I had done this one small thing to my 9mm carbine years ago. Much more fun and a smooth trigger pull now.

The install was as advertised and the easy to follow video made it much less time consuming. Will add more when I return from the range on how the trigger spring improved the shooting of the gun.

I installed the spring(s) on the 9mm, the 45 and the 10mm.
