I just got done installing the spring kit. I did a bunch of polishing on various items that rub together while i had it apart, and the new polishing kit I bought @ the same time. DA pull went from 8# 6 oz. to 5# 11 oz. SA pull went from 4#4.5 oz. to 4# 2.4 oz. Not up the the quality feel of a CZ Custom trigger job, but for 'round $60 (I got the floating trigger pin too) a solid improvement. Ordering the Shield kit next. That thing has a Horrible trigger... now.
Thanking mcarbo for putting up such a good install video, first of all. I bought a set of better punches than I had, even found a metric set which was nice. And a block to hammer on. With those things and the instructional video, installation was pretty straight forward. I took it out today and put 500 rounds thru my SP-01 safety model. Boy what a pleasure to shoot! So much nicer than factory! And for such a great price.
I have this kit for my PCR, the single action and double action improved way more then I expected.
Installed M*Carbo trigger spring kits in a CZ P-01 Omega and a P-07. Both the double action and single action pulls were reduced by about 50 %. I've put about 200 rounds through the P-07 and about 300 through the P-01 without a glitch. Very happy with my purchases. Definitely worth the money and the time. Installation videos are super instructive and very easy to follow. If you buy the P-01 Omega kit, I suggest you use the P-07 installation videos since it also has and Omega trigger. Service was great and shipping was fast. Can't say enough good things about this company. Quality products at a reasonable price with excellent customer support.
I purchased the spring kit for my new CZ P01 because the trigger was much to heavy for concealed carry. I first looked on YouTube for my options and found Cajun was the most talked about. I would have had to send my gun to them and wait 8-10 weeks coupled with a $463 cost. I came across mcarbo and thought, why not try it for only $36 shipped. I received the kit ins few days. I brought it over to my local gunsmith of which charged me $50 and had it back in 4 days. I have to say, i am more than impressed with the change in performance. Much higher than expected. Smooth, lighter, and reliable. Honestly, you must try mcarbo, their products and owner commitment it second to none.
I looked at several spring kits for my CZ75 Compact. Most of the candidates were several times the cost of the MCarbo kit. Caught a vid on YouTube https://youtu.be/K4dWMIAi0rY. It stated that the mcarbo performed wonderfully and that the reasonable price had no correlation to any lack of quality. I also checked Cajun Gun Works site as they are a very CZ enthusiastic supplier. Their kit was 4 times the price of the MCarbo. The MCarbo “how to” installation video was very thorough as well, and I was able to follow along for a successful install. Took it to the range same day and was absolutely smitten with the improvement!! The amount of trigger pull with original springs was pretty rough and my accuracy was down and to the left. Typical with stiff trigger pull. With the MCarbo kit I was hitting center mass, either on or very close to bullseye. Couldn’t be happier with this purchase!! Absolutely Fantastic!!
My order was received in a few days, now I just need the time to install it.
Shipping was fast but my arthritic fingers and working in small spaces gave me a lot of trouble. The pistol did operate smoothly and the trigger pull was reduced by about half. I am pleased with the trigger kit .
I ordered on Sunday, it shipped on Monday and arrived within a few days. What more could you ask for during this time of shortages and backlogs? Excellent service and great products.
I put this kit in my PCR and it felt great. But it's now leaving primer drag on my spent cases where the factory springs did not. I ended up putting the factory springs back in because this isn't just a range gun and I don't want to have to worry about straining the firing pin. I suspect that the lighter firing pin spring is not retracting the firing pin fast enough. And I didn't want to try the factory firing pin spring along with the M*Carbo hammer spring.
I couldn't be happier. This kit took what would have been a very difficult parts upgrade and made it easy. Paired with their easy to follow online videos and I'm a P-01 smooth trigger richer!
it is fussy to install for an old with fat fingers. the installation video goes too fast. the assembly tool is too thin and falls out easily, so all the pieces fall apart. i ended up making a thicker assembly tool out of a thicker nail. there are videos on the internet that go into more detail, a few tricks, and at a slower pace for us old guys with old eye sight. so it can be done, I just never want to do it again. after breaking it in with lots of dry firing and about 100 rnds, the trigger lightened up to about 70% of the original DA pull weight. the DA pull from the half cocked position was even better. the SA pull was as light as feather and crisp. and the customer service is great. they will email you back no later than the next day and they are very patient. all in all, well worth the effort, just do not let the assembly pin fall out and have all the pieces to try and line up.
Installed the spring kit on one of our 75 compacts. In a side by side comparison at the range with our other 75 compact, what a huge difference. Smooth as silk. I like the stock CZ triggers just fine, but given the opportunity to give this a whirl, ordering more kits to put into the 75 40 cal, 75 9mm full size and the other 75 compact. Would have purchased for the RAMI, but currently out-of-stock. MCarbo spring kits are the real deal.
That's what should have came from the factory
This was the first time doing anything like this. The Video was great to go buy. I haven' gone to the range yet but can feel a difference in how the trigger feels. A lot smother.
Improved the double action significantly, single action is light. My only gripe is not with the product. If an item is on back order it should be stated before purchase.
