Just finished installing in my 9mm Shield. What a difference! (Although I knew it would be much lighter with a crisp break and reset as I already installed trigger kits in my 45 Shield and SCCY CPX-2) Also bought one for my Ruger GSR but haven’t installed it yet!

Great spring set and a noticeable improvement in my 9mm Shield. However, removing the stock rear sight which is necessary to polish the striker safety and replace that spring was a real pain! The tolerances on the sight dove tail were way too tight and I replaced both front and rear sights with Hi Viz.

Recieved two kits in nearly record time, as did my other two kits preciously obtained and installed. No covid excuses from M-Carbo folks. The kits are a very much needed addition to any pistol really. One could pollish all the parts in the video as I did my first Shield and make a measureable difference. But I later opted for the M-Carbo spring kit and "overhauled" it as it should have been from S&W. Please, if you have any skills on disassembly and reassembly of your pistol and the spring kit is available for your model, you will not be disappointed with the results.

This kit was easy to install. The instructional video was extremely helpful, and the trigger is much lighter and smoother than it previously was.

You can dramatically change the feel of your stock M&P trigger with this inexpensive kit and an hour of your time. Takes out the grittiness and lightens the pull without being too light. The installation video is fantastic! Be patient with reassembly if it's your first time taking it that far apart.

Installation of springs went very well. Reassembly of the Sear and Frame mechanisms was more difficult. I would suggest that instead of using the rear roll pin when installing the Sear mechanism, to first use a 1/8" punch to hold the Sear mechanism in place. Install the front roll pin first. Installing the rear roll pin means hammering, and the Frame mechanism can be jostled around, the handy tool dislocated, and you will have to start all over.

There is also a pin in the Sear mechanism housing in some models that can slide out without any effort. I quickly replaced mine in place, but it kind of freaked me out!

Major improvement and very good video

From the get go, the guys at mcarbo have been phenomenal. First, I had a back order on a part and they said hey we'll ship it when we get it. Shipping extremely fast. Second, all the parts came labeled and clearly marked. Install was a piece of cake with their informative video. They went very in depth into it and from multiple angles so you can see exactly what you are doing. The polishing and cleaning up OEM parts was also great . Overall, the parts perform flawlessly and are major improvement to my shield. Originally was just looking for my keltic but saw this kit and said hey, its $20, best $20 spent on an upgrade for sure

Makes a BAD trigger GOOD

Bought a police trade in M&P 45 that had a trigger that was so bad it wouldn't register on a pull scale. Replaced with the trigger kit and polished the sear and striker assembly. Now it is 5.6 pounds average pull. Great step by step video. GOOD company to do business with.

BLUF: Once I got it in, the kit worked great...just as advertised. Apparently S&W used red Loctite to also glue my rear sight to the frame so I went through two brass punches before being forced to use my Wheeler steel punches. The wooden dowel never had a chance. No material damage and the slight cosmetic nerfs were quickly repaired with frame paint. The installation video was perfect, and although I dont share the same love of polishing, it seems like it really paid off. Weapon shoots great and has improved my Dicken Drill times by about a second. Great, well thought out product.

I bought this for a 1.0 shield. However, I didn't use it. The main reason being, that I installed a two dot sear from apex, and with this kit, my trigger pull became too light for my liking. Indeed if you do some minor polishing, and install this kit, it will definitely lower your pull to under 4 pounds. Customer service so far was excellent. Shipped fast, kept in touch about the shipping. Good stuff! Thanks carbo!

Kit works as advertised. Went from a 6 1/2 pound pull to a very crisp 4 witch for a carry gun is very good. The cost of this kit and the polishing work pays off and still cheaper than the performance center cost and actually feels alot smoother and crisper then paying more money. Plus you’ll feel better about doing the work yourself.

Kit was nicely put together and the installation video provided was excellent. This does require some work, take your time on the polishing, it’s worth it. My rear site was not as easy to remove as in the video, so again, take your time. I am not sure about the heavy duty return spring yet, may go back to stock. But need more time shooting first to decide. When testing the pull weight after completion, there was some inconsistency. Will retest after there is more time on the trigger. Overall I am very pleased, big improvement over stock, super smooth take up, nice wall with crisp clean break and reduced pull weight.

Not for older Shields 1.0

I never could get the rear sight off. It was frozen solid. The video used a new Shield 2.0 which made it look easy. The video did not apply to guns with a safety. Most of the polishing was unnecessary.

There may have been some trigger improvement but the gun is too small to tell as it jumps when fired. I do not want to waste money on a trigger gauge. Nothing would lay flat on the block they sell. Do not buy.
