Very happy with the ak extra power spring. this not only appears to have smoothened my action but also, will relieve the rear of the trunnion from unecessary abuse. Well Done!
Very easy install if you follow the video and it feels much stronger than the factory spring!
Worked perfectly. My original recoil spring was weak, and was giving me consistent feeding issues. This one fixed it perfectly. Can now run rounds through as fast as I can squeeze. Well worth the $15.
I used these to replace the weaker recoil springs in my ak’s. Easy to install, function perfectly. These will reduce the forces on my rivets and increase the lifespan of my guns. Great product!
Quality product and service. Fast shipping! Kudos!
This spring is difficult to install because of the extra spring rate but the actual mechanics of doing it are made easy by watching the M Carbo video. I installed this in a PAP M92 pistol and so far I love it. This little pistol is already over gassed like many AKs, but being a pistol it's even worse since the gas port is closer to the chamber. Hopefully this spring will save some wear and tear since this is such a fun gun to shoot. Thanks for a great product!
I installed MCarbo's ultra power recoil spring on a Zastava M92. Thereafter, the gun functioned smoothly and flawlessly with less recoil. The only caveat is that the installation process can be tricky and laborious. Mcarbo's how-to video helped me get it done successfully without issues. Please watch the video before attempting to install this spring. This product is worth buying!
I have a custom built AK built on a Romanian parts kit, great gun but that 1969 recoil spring was ejecting shells 30 ft easy. this 15% extra power sping made a WORLD of difference, shells eject about 15ft now, cut the recoil by more than half, fantastic product!!!
Purchased to replace spring in PAP 92 pistol. Stock spring was 16 in. long,90 coils, wire dia. was .485-.500. M carbo spring is 19.25 inches in length,96 coils, wire dia. .530-.545. It is 3.25 inches longer than stock spring, has 6 more coils, and thicker wire dia.. Its certainly stronger and more robust than stock spring. As expected its a real pain in the ass to install, but I really like it.
I put this M-Carbo action spring in all my AK's that occaionally run a supressor. It makes them run so reliable! Best most cost effective upgrade you can do on an AK!
I installed this spring In my stamped Poly Tech MAK 90 due to having rear trunnion impacts. MCarbo has quick service, they answered my email questions quickly and I had the new spring in three days. Old spring kicked hard and ejected spent casings 30 foot. MCarbo spring is 3 inches longer than my old spring and is much stronger. Their spring definitely has less recoil feel and ejects spent casings on avarage 17 feet. I still have some rear impact but I do recommend this spring for anyone looking for a replacement. It really helped.
surprisingly fast.
This isn’t exclusive to IO, as others experience similar cycling issues. That being said, in particular IO has a rep for over gassing their rifles, and a bolt carrier assembly that is crude. I did the classic hammer job (filing and polishing down the hard angles on the hammer) for improved cycling. Even with grease, or oils, the carrier would still grab the hammer and hang on to it. Also with over gassing, the rubber recoil buffer was cracking from the carrier slamming it. I assume it will fix that issue, and not damage the rear trunnion Without even shooting the rifle after installation of the extra power spring, the cycling problem was fixed, and am looking forward to testing on the range. Would highly recommend
Take out shitty factory spring, slap this bad boy in and you will witness a night and day difference on your AK. If you some how manage to to mess up the installation then it’s time to rethink why you’ve grown up to be a disappointment, unlike this spring.
AK natorious for slamming back and sticking, bolt body jumpts off rail and gets stick. this help and i better than the original spring. if not a buffer and this spring works every time.
