I bought the part just because I bought everything else mcarbo sells for three PC carbine. I didn't know what to expect, but even just cycling rounds by hand you can tell there is improved extracting and you can basically stack up all the brass in one spot.
Received my edge extractor, installed and works flawlessly. This piece is machined beautifully and compared to the OEM version literally a work of art. Shot around 150 rounds of a few different varieties and all were ejected perfectly. Combined with all my other MCARBO PC9 purchases this weapon performs much better overall!
Using the 30 rd. Glock magazines in my Ruger PC Carbine I had 4 or 5 FTEs per magazine. Really annoying. This happened regardless of the brand of ammo I used. So I knew it wasn't the ammo. After I saw the YouTube video I ordered the Exact Edge Extractor and the Bolt Head Pins & Extractor Pin Kit. It was really easy to swap out the stock items. Then off to the range. I was amazed!! No more FTEs - not one! I sent about 500 rds. of various ammo down range and had no FTEs. This kit (pins & extractor) is highly recommended! Excellent product! I'm very happy!
I shoot my PC Carbine in Steel Challenge. I keep these extractors on hand as the extractor will wear over time and useage. The exact edge extractor is of high quality with a noticable difference in detail over an OEM extractor.
The extractor is an important part of functionality. This part is a great upgrade to a known weakness in both the PC9 and 10/22, where the extraction can become a weak link in reliability. I highly recommend this part. Installation was easy, and it’s a good idea to upgrade the bolt pins at the same time.
I have already purchased every upgrade mcarbo has to offer for my rugee pc carbine. I haven't had any issues with the oem extractor but I figured I might as well just get the extractor and new pins for future references. I love mcarbo and all their products. God bless America.
I only shot 150 rounds with the stock extractor, no malfunctions, but it was showing wear already. 500 rounds with this upgrade, and no detectable wear. Seems like it helps eject a bit more crisply as well, holds better when the shell hits the extractor.
It broke after 120 rounds while competing in PCC :(
Replaced the factory part because of the malfuntions. During a match i started the get fte failures. Bolt face pin broke and extractor broke found when I took the gun apart.
M-Carbo tool steel extractor is must, if you want to keep your rifle dependable. Big difference form the stock factory. Its laser cut tool steel, verses the factory stamped one. Easy to install with their video. Ruger makes a great rifle, M-Carbo made it that much better.
So much more of a robust part and works flawless. Installation was easy. The M-Carbo crew has their Sh_T together!
Such an easy install thanks to the instructional videos and what a great upgrade. While not too many issues with my PC Carbine I did notice an improved performance when doing rapid fire. Definitely a must for everyone.
