I purchased this extractor as an upgrade to my Ruger PC carbine, excellent quality, easy to install and provides more consistent extraction. Should last the life time of the carbine.

I wasn’t having any extraction issues but extractors are typically the first upgrade I do to my firearms. The quality of this one is obvious and I look forward to many years of service.

This works far better than the factory.

Extraction and reset solved

Review

The OEM extractor can cause cycling failures but also timing issues associated with trigger reset. The poorly made stock extractor was regularly torquing the brass against the chamber wall and slowing down the bolt so it would eject but not reset the trigger.

The mcarbo part has seemed to fix this. I would recommend.

I went from multiple stovepipes per mag to none so far in approx 400 rounds and no visible wear on new extractor. Very pleased.Easy repair that didn't involve shipping firearm away.

this extractor works great. I previously put about 500 rounds thru the rifle and started to get a lot of stove piping. Bought the extractor along with the pin kit for the slider. it was easy to install along with the pin kit and there video on installation. the old pins and extractor showed some wear on all. went to the range, put 200 rounds thew it with the help of a drum, no stove pipes.

My new PC carbine couldn’t run thru a mag without at least one (usually 2 or 3) fail to extract malfunctions. Instead of the hassle and cost of sending it back to Ruger, I opted for the MCarbo extractor (and pins, trigger group pins, and recoil spring retainer). For just a little more than shipping the gun back to the factory, the gun now runs flawlessly. These parts rock. And they shipped fast. The tutorial vids make doing yourself easy peasy trigger squeezey. I’ll definitely be lol ordering more from y’all. Thanks Brother!!!

much better looking piece, sharper edges and looks like grabs brass much more positively.

I'm still having failure to eject problems but have narrowed it down to my reloads being to light of a power factor !

Cycles with factory ammo fine but with current ammo situation and prices, need to get reloads to function reliably.

No fault of extractor !

Update to my August review. I am now asking for a SECOND replacement. The original M Carbo extractor broke (the extractor pin retention hole) after about 200 rounds. The replacement has now broken after about 200 rounds (the same exact break). Hopefully the third time is the charm. I don't know if these parts are milled or if they are PIM metal, but having two break in the exact same manner with only a couple of hundred rounds is less than encouraging and doesn't instill a sense of confidence.

Install was straightforward. I swapped it out with the factory extractor before I even shot the gun so I have no comparison on actual function but the Mcarbo extractor has much better machining with crisper less rounded edges.

Watched the website video last night. Took my iPad to my bench today and literally in less than 10 minutes, installed without a hitch. Will probably do a new buffer and bolt handle as a birthday present to myself in January! Just need a little bit warmer day to try it out. Excellent product and support.

Had ~ 1000 rds through my PC Carbine. Brass was flying everywhere and had no ejection pattern. By ~ 700 rds started having failure to extract and double feeds along with some stovepipes. Cleaning helped for a short while. replaced the extractor with this part and instantly the brass was ejecting uniformly and the failures disappeared!

Fantastic addition

After several thousand rounds, the stock extractor was getting a tad iffy on whether it would extract on manual operation. I am sure it was matter of time before it failed under fire as well. This extractor was super simple to install and works perfect every time.
