Review
I recently installed this trigger kit in my sd9ve. What a difference!!! Waaaay better than the stock version. Put about 400 through it so far. And so far so good! Thanks guys!
Greatly reduced me shooting to the left due too the high pull poundage thanks
I see bad reviews based on how difficult the assembly was or unrealistic ideas that it will change the distance of trigger travel. That has nothing to do with the quality or function of the parts ordered or the service received. I Ordered this set a few days ago due to be delivered today, I'm sure they will drop spring pressure as advertised nothing more nothing less. Thanks for the great service
Fairly easy some difficulty in the trigger spring but all’s good. It’s nice now.
WOW, what a difference these springs did. I mean, it's a full package as well because I ordered my springs around 1130pm and around 830am I got an emailed saying my order was packaged and on the way. At the end of the day I got the "Your order has been shipped" along with the tutorial video which helped a lot as its VERY detailed. I get my package on Sunday with the email lettings me know it arrived. And folks, this was Labor Day weekend.... I was impressed as I was assuming I'd get it around Wednesday after Labor Day. The installation was straight forward with the only small hassle being the actual trigger spring. The push pin kept letting the trigger spring get out of the included trigger guide when pushing in. Simply started to push/hold the trigger spring forward with small driver to keep it aligned. After getting this the second insulation was much quicker. After install went outside (i have plenty of land) and tried both pistols out. It was an instant noticeable difference with even my wife and son noticing it. Now on to the slide lock lever.
I recently purchased a Smith and Wesson SD40VE and went to the range. The trigger felt like trying to pull a fat liberal in a wagon up a hill with your finger. I compared the Apex and MCARBO triggers and went with the MCARBO and glad I did. The trigger return spring was the only item that was a bit of the challenge so watch the video a few times and then do it if this is your first time working on one of these. My trigger is now much lighter but am still planning to do a little polishing to make it even better. All the best and God Bless the USA and our veterans.
orderdd incorrect one but kept it and ordered the correct one, fast shipping, pleasure to work with
Everything fit right and the instructional video walked me step by step through the spring swap.
Trigger spring kit for the SD9VE has made my gun so much more fun and accurate to shoot! Greatly reduced the trigger weight while maintaining the safety design of the gun. Excellent product! If you have one of the SD VE guns then you need this spring kit!!
Glad to support an American based manufacturing company, owned and operated by a Veteran. From my research and reading of all the great reviews, clearly I've chosen wisely. One can never have too many spare parts and as the saying goes, it is better to have them and not need them, versus need them and not have them! Carry On!!!!!
This item is pretty awesome and worked well. There is a vid to install this that was so helpful from M Carbo. I couldnt imagine not having the little "tool" for the trigger spring. I dropped it after installation and spent 10 minutes looking for it, lol. One thing though, I would add a "dental" to the list of tools needed. Really helpful with the trigger spring.
Put this trigger kit in a few weeks ago and finally was able to go to the range to try it out. Probably the best $20 I have spent on anything to make it better. I am so much more accurate taking away the extra 3 lbs of pull on the trigger. It makes the gun so much better to shoot. Every since I bought this gun, I have had buyers remorse because it was hard to be accurate with it. Now the gun is great. You need to buy this trigger kit if you have the S&W SD9VE.
I bought 2 trigger kits at the same time and very pleased with the results on both handguns. The videos are awesome. Arrows and notation would helpful. I have one suggestion and Ib marked it down one star because I think this was incomplete. This really need a better trigger assembly like Apex offers to reduce the travel. Please let me know if you come up with.
Couldn't have asked for much more out of a spring kit. Made a world of a difference to shoot and accuracy improved greatly. Now i accuracy enjoy shooting my sd40
Reduced my sd40ve trigger pull by about 1/3. Fairly easy to install. Pistol functions without any issues. Great product.
Just finished installing the SD9 VE spring kit following the detailed video. Of course it never goes as smoothly as it does for Chris. The trigger spring was a bit of a nightmare. He includes a little helper tool, but I could never get it to line up properly. This is my 4th kit, and I made a tool out of a large finishing nail that I ground the tip flat. It works as a great roll pin lead/following tool. Oh, and be careful with the 2 little plastic 1/2 circle spacers. I let one get away from me and spent 15 minutes trying to find it. ARGH! Anyway, after using a lot of expletives, I finally got the springs in and reassembled the pistol. I was very pleased with the trigger pull reduction and improved smoothness in the pull. Before the kit, the trigger would reach a stopping point and you would have to keep applying pressure until it popped, which affected the aim. After installing the springs, the trigger has a nice smooth, continuous uptake to the release point. This is just what this pistol needs. Now if S&W would just make a better trigger.
