Arrived today and took me about 10 minutes to install them and all I can say is WOW! What a huge difference these springs make! The trigger pull is much lighter and smoother. Thank you!
It did exactly what it should only wish the reset was better. Also easy installation
The install was fairly easy minus putting the trigger assembly back together. It's kind of hard to get everything lined back up. Doesnt help if you have large hands either. Other then that I can already tell the gun is gonna shoot like a dream now.
Just what I needed, definitely reduces trigger weight. Was very easy to change out all the springs watching the how to video took less than half an hour.
Love this product. Trigger is much much better. I had a little difficulty installing the trigger spring but after a few tries I got it. First time ever doing a project like this. I recommend watching the video on installation carefully.
installation was not very difficult but amazing as far as how it was designed to work. i can shoot so much more accurately than before. trigger is awsome. great product highly recommend
I had purchased a S&W SD9VE a few months back. It shot horrible. Could not hit the broad side of a barn from 20 feet. I can't remember how I found MCARBO but, I ordered up the trigger spring kit. Once it arrived, I installed it. It is VERY easy to do. Except for one thing. Getting the trigger pin, spring and slide lock to all line up. Even with that short little plastic bit included with the kit. It was the spring that would not cooperate. The "install tool" could stand to be just a bit longer. Anyway, I took the gun back to the range and Voila!! One inch groups at 10 yards!! I am very happy with the gun now and will probably get an SD40VE and just plop the kit in. Yes. The stock trigger has an 89 ton pull to it. Hence the poor performance. Bravo MCARBO!!
I purchased two of these kits one for my Sd40ve and one for my Sd9ve. I got them in a timely manner which was good but when I opened up the first package I noticed that the trigger spring was open on both ends not looped like it supposed to be. Had to push the end of the spring into the coil. So looked at the other package and the spring is the same way. So just pushed the end of the spring into the coil. The alignment tool is to small and just kept getting in the way of setting the pin in. I’m hoping it will still work as described even though the spring wasn’t looped. Haven’t had a chance to shoot it yet will update when I do
Just installed my trigger kit on my SD40VE and I could automatically tell the difference. Definitely recommend this to anyone who’s trying to do upgrades.
I bought one liked it so much I ordered another for my second SD 9 VE
Had it installed in 30 minutes. I followed the youtube video step by step.
This really worked for me. Reduced trigger pull from 7 pounds to 4.5 pounds. Went and fired 50 rounds with no light strikes. Very reliable.
Largely overall I was pleased with the improved trigger pressure, much easier pull. But the spring in the kit over the firing pin did not consistently work and I had 7 rounds with dimpled primers. I replaced with factory spring and the weapon joined normally.
Great kit, easy install… expect a considerable improvement, don’t expect a miracle. This pistol had the worst trigger in my collection. It is much smoother and lighter now, but still (comparatively) a heavy pull. Need to take to range and see how it performs with the upgrade!
Works great! Gives trigger a way better feel. Definitely recommend it for anyone with factory trigger springs. Also super easy to install only takes a few minutes 👍🏻
Provided a lighter trigger pull as claimed, by how much I don’t know, have no trigger gauge. The install was difficult, the slave pin type device was not useful, saw on another web sight that required changing the sear spring which your not given in this spring kit and showed that taking out the sear assembly made it so much easier installing the trigger reset spring, then install the sear assembly along with the orientation of the trigger bar. Driving out the rear roll pin was a little tough, but made the reset spring install much easier.
