I received the product very quick in the mail, I took my gun apart and followed the steps of the youtube tutoria MCarbo has in their collection and I was able to do it without any issues. Love the quality of the materials. Furthermore, I love the appreciation American made products show to their customer. Thank you for your help on improving the quality and performance of my gun.

Massive reduction in trigger pull, a cheap way to transform my sd40ve to a sweet pistol with tight shot groups. Easy install of striker and striker block springs, trigger spring is trickier --PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THE INSTALL VIDEO! It is really straight forward until you install the pin through the pistol body, pushing the install tool out and capturing the trigger spring. Slide the pin in slowly, pay attention to it's position, and when it reaches the point that the spring will be slid from the install tool to the pin, stop and slide the spring loop over the pin with the micro tool (jeweler's screwdriver). Once this is done you can push the pin into the pistol body completely. I tried at least ten times to line it up and quickly push the pin through, but the spring slips between the pin and install tool and doesn't capture. Went back and actually paid attention to this part of the install video and it worked perfectly.

The guide tool that was in the kit was useless. It was too small and every time I tried to capture the spring the guide tilted and the spring fell off the end. I attempted to use it 9 times, and no matter what I did it fell off. (yes, the definition of stupid is to attempt something several times and expect a different result) I finally gave up on the guide sent with the kit and was able to make one of my own that fit snug and was able to install the spring on the first try. I noticed in the video the guide was a beige pin. The one I received was a small black plastic pin that fit very sloppy and loose. It should be worth noting that I am no amateur when it comes to tools and delicate work, so if I had trouble, I think less skilled folks will too using that black pin. If you get the kit with the black pin, be ready to make one of your own to fit. Still, great reduction in trigger pull!
This kit allows you to reduce the heavy trigger pull of the SD9VE S&W without changing the trigger and possibly having an issue with a modified gun. The installation is easy and the instructions are clear and concise.
The detailed video installation guide was great on YouTube I'm making this installation as easy as possible. The only issue that I had trouble with what's making sure that everything was aligned for the trigger portion of the installation and getting the slide rod through all of the holes correctly and finishing up the installation.
The produce was great. They made install a breeze with the alignment tool. And instructions.
This trigger kit took my stock trigger pull from around 8lbs down to less than 5lbs. I can't Waite to shoot them. I am also changing the recoil spring to stainless steel 20lbs. Should be here today. Can't waite.
I've never bought and installed a trigger spring kit for any of my firearms. I read so many articles on the S&W SD40VE being a quality, sturdy firearm but with a heavy trigger pull. I've fired so many different weapons in military and civilian life that I never paid attention to the pull. I decided to replace the factory trigger assembly with the McCarbo trigger spring kit. The kit is simple to install and used the instruction video as a reference to ensure a proper installation and operation. The kit makes my weapon cycle smoother with lighter trigger pull. You cannot go wrong and will be satisfied with the outcome. This kit will help you achieve a better shot group.

1st I am new to being a gun owner but am very mechanically inclined. The Trigger kit for my SV9SE arrived a day earlier than projected. I selected MCarbo based on the excellent video and reviews of kit. The install was very easy because of the straightforward details of the video. Did run into a bit of a glitch on install that I’d thought I’d mention, and maybe it will help others. In removing the trigger pin, it should come out fairly easy. If you find that the pin is not moving easy, check where the pin goes through the slide lock hole. If the pin is not completely centered it will catch on the grooves on pin. Once centered the pin moves with very little force. The video being handy during install was great. Can’t wait to shoot with new set up.
