1st I am new to being a gun owner but am very mechanically inclined. The Trigger kit for my SD9VE arrived a day earlier than projected. I selected MCarbo based on the excellent video and reviews of kit. The install was very easy because of the straightforward details of the video. Did run into a bit of a glitch on install that I’d thought I’d mention, and maybe it will help others. In removing the trigger pin, it should come out fairly easy. If you find that the pin is not moving easy, check where the pin goes through the slide lock hole. If the pin is not completely centered it will catch on the grooves on pin. Once centered the pin moves with very little force. The video being handy during install was great. Can’t wait to shoot with new set up.
Greatly improved my trigger pull and smoothness of the trigger. Very satisfied with the results. The alignment tool wouldn't fit (too large) is why I didn't give a 5 star rating. Bar that, it still wasn't a difficult project. Thanks guys!
Wife loves the change to her pistol, says it now does what she wants it to do. She doesn't feel like she's pulling the trigger forever to get a shot off.
Very light feeling trigger now. Love the ease of the pull now. This firearm was always nice to shoot and very reliable. Now it's amazing how smooth each pull feels.
They trigger pull has been reduced by what feels like half! It's really smooth and feels great. I have not been able to get to the range yet to make sure everything fires but just by the feel this trigger spring kit is a huge value.
Installed this on my son’s pistol that he bought used. Trigger pull was around 8.5lbs before and just over 5 after. The install video didn’t cover polishing but I found a few YouTube videos that did. Very pleased.
It took about 15 minutes to install and made a huge difference.
I purchased 2 kits. I have also purchased a few APEX, and these are less expensive and just as good if not better than the APEX spring kit. I highly recommend.
The kit got here in a timely fashion and I only had a problem lining up every thing to install the spring in the frame. That was quite an excersize in frustration but my patience paid off in the long run and it all went together. Boy, what a difference! The trigger pull was great and I was able to shoot tighter groups. I highly recomend this product for anyone with a SD9 VE pistol!
Easy to use website and great customer service. Installation video was a very helpful and improvements in trigger feel really great. Can't wait to try it on the range! One suggestion, make the assembly tool a bright color so it is easier to see when you are lining up the holes on the trigger, slide stop and locking block and reinserting the trigger hinge pin. Otherwise really a easy to do. Keep up the great work!
Kit came as stated and was much easier to install than the video even showed. Used a pair of needle nose locking tweezers that I bought from a hobby store years ago. It was for the last spring on the install video, aligned with the trigger hole. Easy breezy.
Springs were great. The installation tool was not. It would not fit and looked like it was just cut with With wire cutters from a piece around stock. Other than that the kit was great

Shipping was very fast! I watched the video a few days ago and installed the kit from memory without too much trouble. I did grind a very slight chamfer on the trigger pin. Reinstalling that pin was the hardest part of the deal. The second issue was the slide would not rack. This was because the spring for the slide release was not seated beneath the trigger block, and it acted like a stop pin. Once I saw this and tucked it down where it belongs all was well. If your slide does not rack, don't force it because you will cut the wire spring shorter by about 1/16". I don't have a trigger scale, but I would not want the pull to be any lighter. It's much lighter than my Glock 42 which has the 3.5# connector installed. I am very happy with the results. Thanks!
I got 2 kits. And decided not to use the trigger return springs as they made the push out toward reset feel week. The other 2 did reduce pull weight. Now my trigger is lighter and still works but still has room for improvement. Maybe polishing or a trigger face.
I recently installed this trigger kit in my sd9ve. What a difference!!! Waaaay better than the stock version. Put about 400 through it so far. And so far so good! Thanks guys!
