Review
I installed the kit and trigger and my pull with my spring gauge went from an average of 5 pounds 1 ounce to 3 and sometimes 3 and a couple ounces .the video was easy to follow
Added to my pcc and liked the results, very straight pull and the spring kit takes a couple pounds off trigger with nice reset...JUST DO IT!
Huge improvement over stock, and the red looks slick on the gun, thanks y'all!!
The factory trigger was really good enough for my purposes but this trigger is a definate upgrade. If you can, why not? With the aide of the install videos it was easy.
Recently purchased a PCC and after reading all the reviews immediately purchased the trigger, recoil spring, and tool steel pin kit. Installation was very easy and made easier by the easy to follow installation videos. If its' your first time through the Ruger, then I whole-heartedly recommend having the video up on your laptop, computer, etc. when you are doing the installations. Thank you Chris and all the folks at M*Carbo! Will update after I put more rounds through my carbine.
Very natural feel. Operates as advertised. Very fast!
I think the first thing most of us do is replace the factory trigger in our firearms. Thanks for another quality product.
The trigger works as advertised. It was to my liking since it was not too light and not too heavy. I did not install the lighter hammer spring because I want a heavy hammer strike to insure primer ignition on all types of ammunition and primers. This is a precaution for combat and defense although competition shooters may prefer a lighter trigger pull. The tactile feeling was very good. my purpose in installing the MCARBO trigger was to replace the cheap plastic trigger with a tougher one not liable to breakage. The real problem I had was the installation. The trigger stop screw was very small which to my old eyes necessitated my wife holding a magnifying glass and flashlight so I could see it. The allen wrench was very, very small unlike the video which I watched several times before installation. Maybe I am just a fumble fingers but keeping the sear aligned while inserted the trigger unit in the trigger housing took several attempts. This could have been made easier with the addition of a slave pin to the trigger kit which serve to keep everything together while inserting the tripper unit into the trigger housing. Again, I am pleased with the final result and would recommend the MCARBO trigger.
Must have trigger for a PC9 ! Very easy to install
This is the best trigger that you could ever install in your Ruger pc carbine. it installs very easily takes just a few minutes.
A very reengineered trigger. Easy to install and natural feel
The trigger itself appears fine. Also, I have to say that MCarbo stood behind the spring kit which I appreciate. My Ruger Trigger worked without issue but it's just not a great trigger, so I bought the trigger and spring kit. With the MCarbo springs and trigger, I started getting hammer follow with a dead trigger. But, the trigger pull, almost zero over travel and reset was awesome when it worked. MCarbo sent me a proprietary disconnecter that was not available as something to try which I really appreciated. However, I then started getting double fires in addition to the dead trigger. They asked me to send the gun in which I did and they found that the bolt carrier needed more mass as it has some level of bounce from the factory. The proposed solution was a tungsten charging handle which I was up for trying. After a few crossed wires, I received the gun back without the tungsten charging handle and no explanation. I was able to find out that the tungsten charging handle needed a surface finish and it should be coming. I checked a few times and had the same answer. Finally after a few months with no communication, another gunsmith gave me the straight answer that there was no solution. When I pulled the trigger assembly out, the gun was filthy. I did get a quick refund for the trigger and the spring kit as I want to go back to the OEM parts which I know work. My issue is not with the springs or trigger as these things happen. My problem is getting a dirty gun back and having to reach out several times before finally getting a definitive answer. I have plenty of guns to shoot but I had my PC carbine out of service for close to 6 months trying to troubleshoot the gun, sending it in, and then waiting for a tungsten charging handle that apparently wasn't ready for prime time. I have never received a gun back dirty from a gunsmith. The problems with my PC Carbine wasn't an OEM problem, or a repair. I do appreciate finally getting a straight answer and the quick refund. But, I also felt like the gunsmith who used my gun as part of an R&D effort left me holding the bag and washed his hands of the problem and that was disappointing. I did email Chris Nelson as I have experience with customer service issues like this and offered to try and help as I want MCarbo to be successful as they are owned and operated by Vets. I received no response. My PC carbine still runs well with the MCarbo recoil pad, and I will try their recoil spring again at some point. I also really like the MCarbo muzzle break and cheek pad. Most people who who would have experienced what I did would give a one star rating, but I like the parts that I have that works and Abby and Roger did a great job standing behind their products so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I'll be back someday if the reviews give me confidence again.
Installed both the flat trigger and the trigger spring kit. Very easy to install and the video is great. Wow, result is a much better trigger feel.
I cannot give a review due to the fact that you did not send me the springs for the installation. I would think that they are a major part of the upgrade! I watched one of our videos where you compared your springs to the original springs which seemed very convincing. I am told that you have determined that they really are not that different from the original springs by your staff???
I installed the new aluminum flat faced trigger on my pc carbine and the upgraded trigger spring kit. It was pretty straight forward and the instructional video is a great help. Took me about 20 minutes all together. After it was done and i tried the trigger I am amazed! Its like night and day. Haven't taken it for a test drive but I can almost assure you my groups will be smaller. The quality is quite impressive on all the parts and springs and the over yravel set screw is a perfect touch.
Flat trigger just feels good and works great in conjunction with the kit to reduce trigger pull. HIGHLY recommend this upgrade to one's Ruger PC Carbine!
