Review
My Rugger LC9 had an average trigger pull weight of about 7.5 pounds according to my tester. I installed the trigger spring kit and now the pull is down to about 6.2 pounds, so yes it is better, but still a long way from 3.something pounds.
My kit came in yesterday’s mail, I decided to do the installation immediately. The trigger pull was a shade over 5# on my 8 year old LC9 s Pro. The first 2 spring were the easy part after watching your video I think I could do it again blindfolded. Remember to have the tools recommended in video if you improvise you will have more difficulty and possibly cause damage. Then it was time to do the trigger spring taking the mechanism from the plastic pistol body is simple , a few parts fell off and I had to use the video to make sure I reinstalled in proper location, since the Pro doesn’t have a safety remember to not look for the parts there not there but the spot for them are don’t let it confuse you. I has difficulty keeping that tiny spring that is in the trigger safety bar in the correct position during reassembly, I found that you must let gravity be your 3rd pair of hands in doing the installation. I had all the new parts properly installed after around 20 minutes. I then went to put the barrel slide back on and there was a pin that secures the rail to the frame that was blocking the track. I just had to tap it back into position and the assembly was complete. I took out my trigger gauge and it’s just as advertised I got a 2# drop and it’s at around 3# with every pull I’ll go to the range shortly to sell how it feels in action. But from dry firing I which I knew about this upgrade years ago. My Ruger is what I call my dress concealed carry pistol as it the smallest one I have with some guts. I don’t have faith in my 380. When I’m in areas that have the potential to be a problem i carry a compact 45 . But fortunately in the 40+ years I’ve been carrying I’ve never had to draw but I’ve always worked on being a better marksman especially as you get older you can’t rely on your fists like you could in the past. Hopefully not having to use my firearms in defense continues but I’m ready if it’s needed . Remember to carry because the bad guys never forget.
The kit and video worked fine
Parts arrived quickly and just as described. However, after picking up my gun and familiarizing myself with it, I'm not sure I need them. That's fine though, they'll join my ever growing parts box as spares.
I installed a trigger spring kit on my Ruger LC9s. It had a 4.5 lb pull before the install. Now it has a 3 lb trigger pull. I also polished key internal parts using a dremel to smooth out the pull. Very pleased with the results.
I purchased the trigger spring kit and it came quickly and the install was painless thanks to the great video! I haven't shot it yet but I can't wait to go to the range and see how it feels!
excellence product. Easy install. Nice and smooth trigger.
The product is as advertised, reduced the trigger pull and results in a very controllable trigger. The video explains and demonstrats an easy installation. GREAT JOB!!
Haven't used it yet but I'll let you know when I get it done
This Spring Kit makes my Ruger LC9s feel like a new gun. With the video instructions it was easy to accomplish. I learned more about my firearm and was able to full strip and clean it in the process.
Extremely happy with the parts and there results
The video was easy to follow, I had the spring put in about 15 minutes or less. Defently a noticable difference. Can't wait to take it to the range!
This kit was a good value, really easy to install, and produced great results. I’m very pleased with the results!
it might be great, it might stink, i have no idea, as i haven't gotten it yet.
I just installed this spring. While it does not change the feel of the trigger dramatically, it does improve it in my opinion. It was enough of an improvement that I am glad I installed it.
