Review
Very simple straight forward install for a major improvement over OEM springs and trigger pull, still has alot of travel but that's the nature of a inexpensive pistol. Highly recommend anyone to immediately do this upgrade.
This trigger kit really sweetened up my LC9s. Smooth, reliable, and accurate.
thank you for a great product but mostly thank you for the great communication and great customer service. It feels so much better now.
Exactly what I was looking for and the video was a tremendous help
I received the upgrade kit for the Ec9s, and installed and function tested in under 10 minutes from start to finish. What a difference! Great customer service and fast shipping. Thanks, guys! Oorah.
Installation was simple - the parts appear to be quality parts. As promised my trigger pull was reduced from a hair-over-five pounds to about 3 pounds (my trigger pull scale is a cheap analog one). Overall, I'm quite happy with the results. I haven't had the chance to shoot it yet.
This kit was easy to install on my Ruger EC9S following the video. The only difference I noticed was in the striker spring, the video uses the LC9S model, which states to push down with a 1/16 punch to slide the back plate off. On the EC9S models, you would actually slide your 1/16 punch into the visible notch, then pull the striker towards the front of the slide to remove and reinstall the back plate. Beyond that, if you follow the video, you'll have no troubles, and this newbie was able to install and reassemble in less than 10 minutes even with figuring out the striker plate nuance.
Great product and easy install thanks to the video. While not a complaint, trigger may be a little light for carry purposes. Pre install weight was 4.5 lbs and post install weight averages 2 lbs, 7 oz. May reinstall original striker spring to see what impact it has.
Everything was delivered well and works great. Thank you
The springs are wonderful, reduced the pull by 2 pounds. Feels nice, will shoot tomorrow for functionality test. One recommendation: In the installation video section covering the removal of the striker assembly, it states to use a 1/16 punch in a 1/16 hole. It sounded to me like I was to depress a pin when actually I was to pull the piece with the hole forward to release the tension to remove the back cover. All in all...great stuff!
Just put your spring kit in, really simple with the how to video.Reduced pull by a good pound and a half. I am going to now order a couple of more kits for my J frames.Very impressed !
My order can in just a few days, I installed the springs and it makes a world of difference, I’m every happy with the results. Thank you guys.
Installation was very easy and no issues while using your excellent video as reference. Quality of the parts and attention to detail is why I choose Mcarbo for my upgrades. My wife and I took the little 9mm ECS out for a shoot after she had done a lot of "dry" firing. The trigger was very light up to the break point where there was a noticeable tight feel. OK...that was good. Then a very light squeeze to fire. We did notice a questionable double "click" when dry firing. Not every time though. Aware of a possible "light strike" and FTF we shot 30-40 rounds before the malfunction of a misfire. Click, nothing, try again,,,,,and pow !!! it fired. A double strike without re-cocking the mechanism. NOT GOOD.. SO,,,aware of this we fired 20 or more rounds with not incident. Back home I stripped the gun and checked everything to be correct. Yep...All good. More tests and dry firing I was getting the double click again.....OK.....done with that. Re-installed the factory hammer spring and reset spring....Function is perfect now and after I had polished up a few things from your polishing kit, SMOOOOOTH trigger pull,,,,no hesitation all the way to fire... Going shooting tomorrow and we will see..... Thank you, Chuck Germany
Easy to install thanks to the video. I don't have a trigger weight tester but it is now noticably light and reset is very positive. Thanks for a great part.
Really a big improvement over stock trigger pull. All results were an average of 5 with a Layman trigger pull gauge. Stock 4lb. 4.9oz., with Stricker Block and Stricker Spring ( not using Trigger Return Spring) 3 lb. 8.04 oz., using all springs 2lb. 11.7 oz. No light strikes and no cycling problems.
