Excellent upgrade to smooth out the trigger pull on the LC9s. Installation was straight forward as long as you follow the installation video M*Carbo has on their website. I would highly recommend this ubgrade.
Just installed 2 of these kits. One in my EC9S and one in my wife's LC9S. Could not be more pleased. 2.5# pull on mine and 3# pull on the wifes. Still has a long pull but super smooth and predictable brake point. Great MCARBO videos help a ton.
Just installed your spring kit in my Ruger EC9S 9mm. It made all the difference in the world. Easy to install and it turned an okay trigger into a fabulous trigger. Thanks Joe
It installed very easily, I knew what to expect, as I installed a new trigger before. I was able to remove the trigger pin without removing the safety blade. It definitely took some of the weight out of the trigger. I will try to update after some range time.
Listen, it shipped on time. Installed easily with the video tutorial and some big brain power on my part. Can already feel the difference in the trigger. No regrets in ordering.
After installing the 3 springs, I am experiencing soft striks on bullet. About 1 and sometimes as many as 3 miss fires. I am confident this problem will get resoved.
Quality product, have sent 500 rounds through after install with no issue, I feel like this also improved the feel and feel of the trigger reset as well. Still has a nice clean break.
This update made this littte gun smooth as silk compared to the factory set up. If you own this gun get this kit AWESOME.
I got the spring kits for the LCP and LCP II hoping to improve those infamous triggers. Both are much better now. Not Walther triggers, but a vast improvement. Decided to go for the LC9s while I was on a roll. A bit more of a challenge as I don't have the manual dexterity he does, but with a magnifying glass and several F-bombs I now have a smooth, light trigger.
So far, so good. The trigger is now too light for carry, but this is a practice piece. Installation video is excellent - watch it - twice. But it did not say anything about the red safety dot (pin) working itself out of the frame and hanging up the slide Finally, upon reassembly. A simple push fixed it. Also, taking pictures of the assemblies as you disassemble it is helpful for putting the springs back in their proper place and orientation. Finally, while you have it apart, polishing the inside of the trigger bar on a fine hard Arkansas stone can help smooth things a bit.
Installed on my LC9s. A quality product, but it made the pull too light for me, especially the trigger return spring. I could hardly hear or feel the reset with the new spring. It's a bit too light, IMO. The striker and striker block spring were fine. I put the OEM springs back in and went a different route - polished the trigger bar, trigger pivot, striker, striker block, sear, and the striker block lifter. Trigger is now smooth as silk, and at a weight I can live with.
Trigger spring break is remarkably better than the original. More precise trigger break and reset, makes a better shooting experience and grouping has greatly increased
I’m a guy that doesn’t mod his armaments. For me a mark of a shooter is being handed any pistol and within two rounds you placing bullets where they need to go. So during re-qualification, my shots were not landing where they were commanded to be and the trigger was really acting up. My Normal 1-2 inch groups were 4-6 inches so bent my rules and ordered this spring kit. Bought this kit along with a punch kit and installed using YouTube video. Punch kit failed (bent) after a few strikes with a mallet. When installing…be patient and proceed step by step. Note I did remove the magazine safety because that where the grit was and impossible to clean that area without disassembly. 20 bucks an 30-40 minutes of your time fixes the tripper pull complaint of the original LC9. As for other trigger kits and DYI filing of the trigger bar, it’s unnecessary. There is no better cost effective solution than what this kit provides. As for the bent punch. Email pictures, they reviewed and responded next business day with a replacement.
Works great highly recommended !
Great Kit! Easy install, with Video you can't go wrong. Trigger is light and crisp now. I will be buying more kits for my other guns. I look forward to the results.
Quick shipping and delivery. Great product! Instructional video is a plus as always. Had a little trouble getting the safety blade out of the trigger. 1/16 inch punch would not fit. I was able to push the pin out with one of the picks from my tool kit. Other than that, everything else went smoothly. Very close to a 2lb reduction in trigger pull.
