Love the kit . Installed easily except for some fidgeting with the sear spring with a noticeable reduction in trigger pull. One small problem for me in this time of ammo shortages. I've got some Wolf steel cased 9mm that I've been using and my last time out after installing the kit I had two light primer strikes in the first 5 rounds. I immediately switched to some old Federal ammo I brought along (just in case) and had no other issues. Point is in this time of shoot what you can find be aware that some type ammo with harder primers may not function with the reduced weight striker spring and I would be cautious if using the lighter spring in a self defense gun unless you seriously test it with your carry ammo. I do like the results but will only use it as a range gun with the lightened spring.
Watch the video (2-3 times, maybe even 4). Follow the instructions. It's a little difficult but worth the effort. Trigger pull was greatly improved, smoother and lighter. I put one of these kits in a 509 and one in an FNS 9. Both are much improved.
My new FN 509 MRD had an awful trigger from new. It had a gritty feeling take up and then a heavy break(7.5lb). I assumed I would buy the M Carbo spring kit along with the Apex trigger. After installing the spring kit which was super easy I don't personally feel that I need to add the Apex trigger. The M Carbo kit erased the gritty take up and lightened the trigger pull to 4.5lb. This spring kit turned the FN 509 trigger into what it should've been leaving the factory. A nice duty trigger pull and reset.
Installed firing pin/striker spring and striker block spring only at this time on fns, it definitely improves the trigger pull.
This kit is cheaper than a trigger replacement and the results are amazing. This kit greatly reduced the pull weight of the FN 509 trigger. I am very pleased with the change and it has greatly improved my accuracy especially on the follow up shots. I highly recommend this kit.
I purchase the 509 spring kit Delivery Was very Quick with in 3 days. I installed the springs in about a Hour. It went very smooth using the online video tutorial. Using a Lyman trigger pull Gage My trigger pull has went from 6.5 lbs. Down to 4.25 lbs I am very Happy with no Issues so far. Thank You Guys.
I was looking at a Apex FN 509 dropped in trigger kit but thank god I found MCARBO. Saved me $$$ an the shipping was fast an installation was real easy. Now my FN 509 tactical trigger feels so much smoother.
I highly recommend this trigger spring kit for anyone who has a FN 509 pistol. I installed the kit on my 509 tactical and it lightened the trigger pull as advertised. Mine is right at 4.5 lbs. down from 7 lbs. when I bought it new. It made such a difference I ordered another trigger spring kit for my new FN 509C MRD and plan on installing it today. Holly Chit BatMan !!!! because of cv-19 I have not been to the range yet, but the difference just dry-fire practice in the house is just totally awesome before I put in this kid I had a lot of pre-travel plus a lot of stacking once the pre-travel is taken up and I hit the wall before the break I don't have a trigger pull test gauge so I can give you the actual difference in the trigger oh wait, but I can tell you that it is perceptibly noticeable that there is far less pressure required in order to actuate the trigger. I installed this two days ago, and have been dry fire practicing in the house, constantly reflecting on the difference in my pistol, and the fact that I was able to achieve that for just $19.95, just totally awesome I have a FN 509 compact that I put an Apex trigger in last year. It cost me $149.95, for $19.95 at mcarbo i achieved almost exactly the same thing in my 509 mid size mrd. You tell me, how can you beat that? I will definitely be buying more products from mcarbo! their products are outstanding, their customer service and attention to detail is beat by nobody.
I love this gun but the trigger was horrible. Ran across this trigger spring for 20 bucks and what a big difference. Smother trigger and went from almost an 8lb trigger to a little over 4lbs. Thanks...
The FN 509 spring kit was ordered, received quickly, and installed the same day it arrived. I was exceedingly cautious because little springs have a way of flying across the room, never to be seen again. I put my laptop on the work table and pulled up the installation video, which was very well done. All went well, and I could not wait to put my Wheeler digital trigger pull gauge to the test. The results revealed a drop from ca. 7 lbs. to slightly less than 5 lbs., and that is a nice difference. The "proof of the pudding" came at the range where my 7 yard groupings dropped from ca. 5" to a bit over 3". Moreover, the groups were not pulled left, so I actually hit where the pistol was aimed. I am very pleased with this upgrade and equally as pleased with the customer service and follow-up from M*CARBO (Chris Nelson). In addition, another kit was ordered for a FNS-9 once Chris responded that the FN 509 spring kit would also work in this firearm. When that installation is complete and range tested, the results will be reported.
Purchased the FN 509 trigger spring kit from MCARBO, watched the install video and followed it step by step. Once the gun was assembled, the trigger was very smooth and crisp. I highly recommend who has a FN 509 to get the spring kit. It’s a night and day difference.
I checked the trigger on my gun prior to the installation with a Lyman Digital Trigger Pull Scale. The 3 pull average was 5 lbs. 6.4 oz. After the install the trigger pull is much smoother and breaks crystal at 2 lbs. 3.5 oz. on a 3 pull average. Shoots great but the trigger is a little light for a carry weapon.

This spring kit was easy to install and changed the performance of the trigger dynamically! The video was informative and detail rich. From start to finish, the spring replacement took , at most ,30 minutes. No malfunctions, just increased performance. A very solid and inexpensive upgrade to this handgun. I would recommend MCarbo products to anyone wishing to make their firearms run better
