I finally got to the range... The spring kit made a noticeable difference in the trigger. I felt I could stay on target better with the kit installed. I was going to do the apextrigger but I don't think it's necessary now... The install videos videos are awesome.

I ordered the FN509 spring kit and it made a big difference on the trigger for the FN 509. I also watch the video on installing the spring kit and the video was great and I had no problems with the installation. M*CARBO great company to deal with and I will recommend them to my friends.
MY FN 509 HAD AN AVERAGE TRIGGER PULL WEIGHT OF 6LBS 2OZ AND WAS "SCRATCHY". AN M*CARBO TRIGGER SPRING KIT GREATLY IMPROVED THINGS, RESULTING IN A 3LB 13.2OZ TRIGGER PULL, A CRISP BREAK AND SMOOTHER PULL. INSTALLATION WAS NOT DIFFICULT. I WATCHED M*CARBO'S HOW-TO VIDEO (AVAILABLE ON THEIR WEB SITE) TWICE TO FAMILARIZE MYSELF WITH THE PROCESS, THEN WITH THE VIDEO RUNNING AS A GUIDE, I INSTALLED THE KIT. IT DOES REQUIRE PATIENCE AS SOME OF THE PARTS ARE SMALL. FOR ME, IT WAS DEFINITLY WORTH THE EFFORT. FROM AN OLD VIETNAM VET, THANKS M*CARBO FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND YOUR SERVICE.
Amazing product, lighten my. Trigger which 7.4 lbs stock to 4 lbs trigger pull. If anyone can leave me answer please do, does this spring kit work with apex fn509 after market trigger ?
Installed the MCARBO trigger spring kit in my 509C after doing some research originally the trigger broke at 6 to 7 lbs after installing the kit the pull was reduced to a consistent 4.5 lbs and the break is crisp and the reset feels and sounds more tactile. Very satisfied with the help and always here to support my fellow Veterans
Your videos are amazing, had a challenge putting the seer spring back but figured it out at the end, a little tricky but very satisfying and gave me a lot of confidence. The over-all install was not difficult just challenging putting the small parts in place. There are no better install videos than yours, bar-none! Can’t wait for the Taurus challenge! Mcarbo comes through again. Easy installation and with minor polishing inside the striker spring tunnel my FNS 9c trigger went from 7.5 to 5 lbs. Nearly all " grittiness" is gone. I'm sure with further polishing it will improve more.
what a difference your choice just add upper spring I went from 7.1 to 5 lbs this also seemed to smooth out the trigger pull ????? tried the frame parts works well (BUT) I like a carry gun with more than a 3.5 lb trigger no external safety issue . I went back to the factory sear spring for my application good instructions,
I was hesitant about installing an Apex trigger into my 509 Midsize as it was recommended that you buy a special block just to install the trigger. This spring kit makes a noticeable difference and the installation is doable. If you’ve installed Glock and Sig trigger components, this will be a mildly harder task but can be accomplished. The installation video is what made all the difference, otherwise it’d be impossible. One of the changes I’ve noticed is that the trigger breaks precisely and without stacking as before. I installed the factory striker spring to compare and noticed the same thing; the other springs in the kit do a great job of mitigating the perceived stacking feel once your finger hits the “wall”. I lack a trigger gauge but I believe 4.25-4.5 pounds is a very accurate assessment of what the weight is. Overall I’m highly impressed. The reset is a bit softer but still audible and tactile, but for a defensive pistol I feel that the setup is more than adequate. Here is my message to someone looking to buy this kit: Buy it. Pay attention the the installation video and watch it a few times before doing the install. Make sure you have all the right tools beforehand, you won’t regret it. It will make a difference especially if you run an optic on your pistol. For the money it’s a good piece of kit for your weapon. Excellent work M*CARBO.
509 tactical the good out of the box avg.8 1/4 lb. nasty gritty trigger pull, after a clean and install mcarbo spring kit i had a avg. smooth and sweet 4 lb. trigger pull and not a shot fired. i then loaded up 100 rounds from powder puff to big dog no problems the better the mcarbo video. watched 3 times beginning to end no fast forwarding and by then i'm thinking easy peasy and it is when you learn the video and do exactly as laid out and more importantly know when to back off and take a break when a hint of frustration enters the process. the best i narrowed my choices down to a trigger assembly that supposed to take care of the 509 issue at $150 or the mcarbo spring kit for $20. i felt this gun is a keeper so i figured for a $20 investment i get to tear down the pistol and put it back together and gain a working knowledge of the gun itself and the possibility of saving $130 in the process the bottom line the spring kit did what it was designed to do and i am more than satisfied with the results and have no need for a different trigger.
The kit works fine and reduced my trigger pull to just over 4 lbs. it’s a bit tricky to install, but if you follow the instructional video you will do fine.
