I just installed this on my Maverick 88 that that I built as a turkey / deer shotgun and this trigger upgrade was amazing I I can not believe how much better the shotgun shoots with these two Springs in it and the added wooden dowel tool for installation made installation an absolute Breeze I highly recommend this and recommending it to anybody I know with it 88 500 or a 835 and their customer service was impeccable
took 15 min to install in mossberg maverick 88. video was close but one spring was different in my trigger pack. still it was easy to figure out and made the trigger pull much better. it still is not light but on this type of firearm i'd say it's adequate.
Love my new trigger squeeze. Not easy for clumsy hands like mine to replace, but the video definitely helped. My Maverick 88 is very happy.
As always, Chris and company think up a great product, produce it, make a great instructional video and ship it. The spring kit was received very quickly and made the trigger pull just right. Highly recommended!
Don't think about it, just buy it. A little clean up of the engagement surfaces and this spring kit and my Mossberg 500ATP felt like a new shotgun. Much smoother and lighter trigger pull than before. For those who are unfamiliar, just follow the M-CARBO video. I do recommend using a small dot of grease to help retain the trigger spring when reinstalling. It's not necessary but will make it easier for novice guys to get it back together.

Installed the spring kit in my maverick 88 the other day and finally test fired it today. Wow, talk about an improvement. Trigger was so much easier to pull and I had been having an issue previously with FTF. Not today, ran 30 shells of various brands and types through without a single hiccup. Installation was straight forward after watching video a few times. Trigger spring was a bit of a PITA but got it in and hammer spring tool was an absolute God send. Would definitely recommend this kit to other owners of Mossberg 500 and maverick 88 owners.
Installed the New hammer spring and trigger spring. Had a 20 + year old Mossberg 500A that was light striking. Problem solved. Installation video made it simple. 5 Stars!
Bought Mossberg 500 NIB, shot about 50 federal slugs and 1 out of 5 Remington sluggers. Did research, found the Remington sluggers have a hard primer, found another review on here where someone said it fixed their soft tap on hard primer. Installed the kit in 15-20 minutes, easy installation video on this site btw, went to the range and no more soft tapped primers. The lighter trigger pull compliments the fact that it very well 100% fixed my problem. I would recommend this to anyone! Customer follow up and fast delivery from M Carbo also gets 5 stars!
I bought this because my 500 had a light firing pin strike. A previous review said this spring corrected the issue. Yes it does correct that problem! No more failure to fire!
The main reason I bought this kit is because I was getting light primer strikes with Remington Copper Solid slugs from my 835. Apparently Mossbergs are known for light primer strikes. Google it. Mossberg wanted the trigger assembly back but there was no time before season started. The trigger may be slightly lighter with the MCARBO springs, but I never thought it was a very heavy pull to begin with. My 835 is an older model so that may be why the trigger pull wasn't as heavy as the new ones. Install was pretty straight forward. If you're looking for improved reliability with hard primers and decent trigger pull, then this is the ticket.
My mossberg 500 would fire only after trying 4-5 times on a single shell. Received my springs sooner than expected, very easy to install, DRASTICALLY noticeable trigger pull and have not had a single misfire since!! Could not be happier not only with the springs but also the customer service was top notch!!!! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!
My gunsmith installed it without any problems. This kit removed several pounds of trigger pull. My mossberg 535 ats slugster is ready for the whitetail Season.
Shotgun was having striking issues. Wasn't hitting the primer hard enough. Installed this in under 5 minutes. Went to the range and not a single light strike and all rounds went off.
