Shotgun was having striking issues. Wasn't hitting the primer hard enough. Installed this in under 5 minutes. Went to the range and not a single light strike and all rounds went off.
Bought this kit and the install tool. Make sure and watch the video for this kit, it helps tremendously. Install tool is a must have! Great upgrade for the price.
Turned a rough and gritty 8# trigger pull to a crisp 4 1/2# trigger. Best mod you can do for your Mossy 500 or the Maverick easy install great company to deal with, fast delivery and great feed back after sale.
Trigger pull went from 61/4 lbs. to 5 lbs. I would not want to do install without the wood dowel tool.
First this needs an updated walk through on install. My Mossberg 88 had an extra spring I had to spend 45 min figuring out where it went. Second After instal the trigger felt great I agree about a 40% reduction. Third I found that instead of a cut out wooden dowel a Helicoil insert handle worked great (M10 kit)
Installed the MCARBO kit on my Mossberg 590A1. And no you do not have to reinstall the small inner hammer spring per MCARBO support. The trigger pull wgt went from 9.5lb to 5.5lb. It probably would've been better had I not bent the trigger return spring after stupidly getting it caught in the hammer spring cut out when pressing the trigger down. Likely work hardened the spring when straightening it increasing its k-factor.
This spring kit saved the day. I use my Mossberg500 for a slug gun and the trigger was so stiff it caused accuracy issues for me. The only issue during install was operator error from not watching the video close enough. I was daunted at first, but these guys really do a good job of walking you through the process. Springs replaced and trigger assembly reinstalled, the trigger pull is much lighter. Absolutely recommend.
Good quality parts. Reduced trigger pull as advertised. Im happy with it. Shipping was a little slow but I can't complain.
Reduced weight in Maverick 88 from over 9 to 5 lbs
One of the best things, if not the best thing I did for my Mossberg 590A1. I was a little skeptical, but, there was a noticeable reduction in trigger pull weight. I must have e-mailed M*CARBO at least twice with concerns. They professionally answered every query. Even with the 590A1 having a two trigger main springs, the kit works flawless (I kept the smaller one in). I ran it shooting clays, and then ran it in a 3 gun competition with no hiccups. I was able to hit a slug torso sized target at 100 yards on the first shot during a stage. I do not have a trigger pull scale, but the change is significant. I'm very pleased. My only tip is to watch the video once or twice before actually doing the install, and to be patient. It's easy to do, but Murphy likes to show up and springs have a mind of there own; and things that fit on the way out, needed a little finesse and understanding to go back in. It would be great to see one of these kits available for the Mossberg 930's. Well done M*CARBO, well done.
I bought and installed the springs on my Mossberg 535 a while ago. Technically it cut the pull from about 6.5 to 4.5 pounds. I just tried it out tonight, it shoots a lot smoother and easier.
From almost & pounds trigger to 3-3and 1/2 pounds got to love it
I watched the video on installation and immediately ordered spring pack and installation dowl. Arrived promptly in good shape. First off wooden tool was too big. May swell with weather. Anyway prongs broke off about 5 seconds into pushing spring. Don’t waste your money. Moved on and easily removed spring/trigger. But if you release or breath wrong you will have it come apart. I’m not the only one. Dozens of folks all over trying to figure out how to get this damn thing back together. Found best info on reassembly on YouTube. After you get assembly back together you can stop cursing and doctor your fingers that were punctured by springs. Once in gun there is a wonderful improvement in trigger feel. While I had mine apart I used jewelers polish on slide rails, trigger, other moving parts. Now I couldn’t ask for a smoother or more enjoyable trigger. I recommend this terrific inexpensive kit but know what you’re getting into. https://youtu.be/oAOjlBpRwB0?si=1Q3gmA-L2nmNGf2S
This was a great trigger kit that made a big difference on my maverick 88. This was pretty easy to install thanks to the step by step video.
I installed this kit on a 500 20ga my daughter uses for turkey hunting. Before it she had to use two fingers to pull the trigger, she can easily fire it properly with one now. I’ve already recommended it to a few fellow hunters and will continue to do so. Easy install and great value! You will tell a difference and the customer service is second to none. I like it so much I’ll be installing a kit soon on my 870 Supermag.
Was a pain to change as I have Parkinson Disease but I did it. Had to remove my folding stock and quad rail. A standard stock would give no trouble.
