Dropped pull from about 7.5 to about 5 lbs. Safe for range and h.d.
I really enjoy the springs from MCARBO in my Maverick88. The install was easy,( Watch Chris install video). Just left the range and put 100 rounds of buckshot and slugs through the 88. A pleasure to shoot. Hadn’t been that excited about going to the range in a long time. Shipping was fast and extremely thankful for that. In all great product and I stand behind it 100%. I ordered two spring sets for my 835 and 500. Ordering and delivery was very fast even during the pandemic. First time installing for me on my 835 with existing 5.5lb pull. It took about an hour for the first, probably because I didn’t have adequate lighting and magnification. Trigger improved to 4lbs. The 500 took only 15 minutes improving pull from 6.5 to 4.75lbs. Still a significant improvement over OEM. I used the spring tool from mcarbo. Without the tool, I don’t think I could have gotten the job done! Overall I’m very pleased with the improvements.
My Mossberg 500 factory trigger was horrible and I didn't want to take it to a gunsmith so I ordered this kit after reading the reviews. I am very pleased with this product and the company. Very fast shipping and easy to do yourself after watching their video. As a veteran myself I am proud to do business with such a great place.

The Mossberg 500/835 kit is awesome. Results as billed. Word of caution: If you aren't familiar with the M-500 trigger group, review the install video very carefully. The trigger return spring WILL get hung up in the hammer spring tunnel if you are green like I was. I ruined my first trigger return spring, because I did not appreciate the trick to getting the trigger return spring properly installed below the hammer spring tunnel. I strongly recommend the very economical wooded tool for this install. You need the tool for BOTH springs. (flat end for the trigger return spring). Now I am "experienced" LOL.
Installed on my maverick 88. Such a better feel than factory and let’s not forget the amazing shipping speed. Came ahead of time just perfect for my planned hunting trip. Excellent guys
I installed one of these trigger spring kits in my Mossberg 590 and dropped the trigger pull from 5lbs 6oz to 4lbs 4oz. Excellent MCARBO walkthrough video as always. Great upgrade for an affordable price. Thanks MCARBO!
I installed this in my Mossberg 500 Cruiser I built for 3-gun, heavy metal where a pump shotgun is required. The trigger assembly in the stock 500 has a plastic frame and I wasn't sure how it would stand up to competition use. I purchased a 590 trigger assembly (it is a drop in fit) to replace the stock one because the 590 trigger group has a metal frame. The difference from the 500 is the hammer spring plunger has a nested spring attached to it that nests inside of the hammer spring. Additionally everything is parkerized so there is a little more friction when re-assembling the trigger components. The stock trigger pull in the 590 trigger group was really heavy (est. 9-10#). The M-Carbo trigger spring set dropped it down to a smooth 4#+ trigger pull which is a very big improvement. Thanks again M-Carbo for a great upgrade.
Put the trigger kit in a 500 bantam youth turkey 20ga. Trigger went from 9lb 8oz to 5lb 12oz. Also purchased the assembly tool which worked as described (could have made one but too lazy). Only issue I had was putting the trigger assembly back in the gun. Tight fit. Great product!
I thought i try a set of these on my short moss 500 my " bump in the nite shotgun " /i am greatly impressed with this product /it did decrease my trigger puul by about 40% or so and gave me a nice crisp trigger instead of the mushy factory trigger / great service great product great service and vetrean owned /you cant lose ! /i will be ordering kits in next few months .

I bought a 1980's 500 with a failure to fire problem for 50 bucks. knew it was a weak hammer so instead of going with a factory replacement i upgraded and she runs like a new gun now.

This is a great upgrade to the Mossberg 500 trigger. Installed it on my daughter's slug gun. Easy to install, good instructional video. Very fast shipping. Big improvement to the trigger pull.
