Ordered these springs and they were in my mailbox within 8 days (Canada). Even got a few follow up emails checking in to see if I got my springs and also installation instructions. My 590A1 factory trigger pull was 6 3/4lbs. After installing the MCARBO springs while keeping the secondary firing pin spring, trigger pull dropped to 6lbs. Removing the secondary FP spring, trigger weight droped to nice 4 3/4lbs. I haven't shot my 590A1 with the new springs as yet but I haven't seen anyone complain about light primer strikes so I'm not expecting to have any issues. Hats off to these guys and thank you for your service.
20 bucks well worth spent. Works just as advertised. Greatly reduced the trigger pull on a maverick 88. Do yourself a favor and also purchase the installation tool. Makes this alot easier.
Easy ordering, adequate shipping time, awsome installation video and a follow up email. Just Do It, business with these guys!
I’ve had my 500a for many years and never paid much attention to the factory trigger. I thought that is just how it is, a hard pull. My buddy shot it while we were patterning it for turkey hunting and couldn’t believe how hard he had to pull. I went straight to google and came across M*Carbo and ordered the trigger kit and spring tool. I got it that week and installed it. I’m really glad i bought the tool. Helped a bunch. Wow. What a difference. Nice and light and smooth as silk. Love it!
The MCARBO hammer spring from my kit doesn’t have quite enough power to reliably set off a primer. Not a big deal if your at the range but in my turkey gun that was a deal breaker. I put the factory hammer spring back in but left the MCARBO trigger spring in. Since making that change I’ve had 100% reliability and with just the MCARBO trigger spring there is a huge difference in the trigger pull. I’d absolutely recommend this kit however I couldn’t give it more than 3 stars because only half the kit was useable for me. I want to add your mileage may very and you could have 100% reliability with both springs installed.
WORKED REAL GOOD , TRIGGER PULL WENT FROM 7.5 TO 4.5 . TRIGGER SMOOTHER AND BREAKS BETTER. VIDEO A MUST SEE TO INSTALL SPRINGS.
Really glad this kit is out there to lighten the trigger pull of the 500. Two tips: watch the you tube video and get the trigger assembly tool. Both will make the job easier.
I'll definately be ordering parts from here again. I'm very pleased with my parts and the fast shipping.
Just dropped in my new trigger springs in my Mossburg 500A. I have owned the shotgun for for almost 20 years now and has always been one of my favorite weapons in my arsenal. When MCARBO told me they had a trigger spring upgrade kit for it I said what the hell why not? As i know the other products I purchased from them where spot on and did just as they claimed I thought I would give my favorite lead sprayer a well deserved upgrade. MCARBO did it again, Yes Yes Yes never thought a trigger spring would make that much of a difference on my shotgun! Smooooooth quick spot on. Buy one you will be glad you did. Thanks MCARBO
I ordered 2 sets of the Mossberg 500 trigger spring kits and received only 1 set. I emailed M Carbo right away with a picture showing my receipt plus the items I did get. Have not heard back. Basically paid double for 1 kit. Horrible customer service. Will take my business else where.
I had 2 issue and that's why I got their spring kit. 1) Trigger pull on my Mossberg 500 too heavy and 2) I converted my 500 to a Bullpup which compounded the problem. Installing spring kit did reduce trigger pull but honestly not sure how much. All I now is that the pull on the bullpup is only 8.5lbs. If you get their kit use an actual trigger pull gauge to get an accurate reading. I would recommend the kit.
4th spring kit from MCARBO. Wonderful reduction in creep, crisp release. Shockwave trigger return spring has a greater OD than the replacement spring, but a lesser OAL. A little grease to seat it, works great. The 590A1 kit contained only two springs, however the new kits apparently have three springs. So, I ordered recently and still got the two spring kit. I call shenanigans. Pull the old kits, pop in the needed spring, and keep your service and quality standards high.
The product was shipped in a timely manner. And made a very Poor trigger pull, into a much better feel. Although this was my Very first gun repair attempt , it was very tricky to reinstall Everything back in. Not mcarbos fault at all. Mossbbergs Entirely. Good product and very pleased.
I bought a cheap Maverick 88 A) because it was cheap and B) I wanted a youth model 20 ga. because of maneuverability. Well, the trigger was the worst trigger I have ever felt in my life and had what felt like a 1/2" of creep before a 10 lb. pull .15 minutes and a Mcarbo kit later ,it's awesome. Can't wait to install another kit in my nephews ide tical gun which up to this point he hasn't been able to shoot consistently because of the crappy trigger.
I struggled with the first installation but I should have watched the installation video. I didn't. After watching the video I did two more installations and each one became easier to do. It really isn't anything difficult, just be sure to watch the video until you understand how to do each part. I don't have a trigger pull gauge but I have three of the same Mossberg shotguns (590) and was able to compare the stock pull to the spring kit and it is a very positive improvement. It is not a light trigger by any means but it is much better than stock. I recommend it highly.
My 590 trigger now breaks like a decent rifle trigger.
