Easy installation for this trigger spring kit, glad I bought the tool for it. Finally tested it on the range today, first pull was smooth then the second was a no go. Then I realized it was a pump Mossy 500, after the needed action it went smooth as butter. One of the best upgrades you can do for your shotgun.

Night and day difference!!

I installed this in a new Maverick 88. Install was super easy with the tool and the install video. Cut the trigger pull weight in half. I will be ordering another kit for my 590 & 870 as well. Thanks for the awesome product MCARBO!

No light primer strikes on any ammo tried

Today (Friday 2-9-18) I fired off about 100 rounds of various brands of 12 gauge ammo. All went bang. I did have one failure to feed and one failure to eject using federal #8 bird shot but my buddy had the same issues with the same ammo when he tried it in his 870 clone so I attribute this to the ammo (Federal) and not the springs.

All the ammo had deep primer strikes so this spring kit must have been extensively tested prior to coming to market as it is the only one I've ever used that did not cause light primer strikes.

The trigger is really nice and smooth now.

Thanks MCarbo I'll be buying one of these kits for my Mossberg 500 as well.

No more light strikes

Bought this in an attempt to fix a light strike issue in both my Mossberg 535 and 500. So far so good in both shotguns, lightened the trigger as advertised which is a nice bonus to getting my shotguns fixed.

No noticeable difference

A lot harder than the video makes it look. I guess that’s why they have so many stop takes in it. No noticeable difference after the 45-50 minutes it took. I was considering buying the mini14 spring kit but not after this. Shipping speed was okay and not their fault, USPS was the weak link there.

No smoke or mirrors product works as stated

The item description states factory pull is 8.5lb and the kit will reduce to 4.75lb. The installation video states the factory pull is 6.5lb and the kit will reduce to 3.75lb My gun had a factory TP of 6.5lb, the kit reduced the pull to 5.5lb. 15% reduction, not the 42-44% that is claimed. Not really a significant reduction in TP. A small improvement but not as advertised. I’ll leave it in as it’s not worth the time to remove and return.

Not To Bad Of An Upgrade

This kit was easy to install but on my Mossberg 500 it did not drop the trigger pull as much as proclaimed in the video. Don’t get me wrong there is a positive improvement not 3lb more like 4 to 4 1/4 from around 6lbs

Not very different

First off, I don't have a tension measuring device, so I can't say for sure, but from feel alone the system does not appear to have made a lot of difference from the factory springs. That said, I always find it valuable to learn new things about how to disassemble and work on my various firearms.

I watched the video provided, and I had 2 issues:

1) The gentleman in the video spoke WAY too fast and I kept having to pause and rewind it with all these small parts to keep track of at the same time.

2) I have the Maverick 88 and there appears to be an additional spring that pops out. The video didn't mention it and I didn't see exactly how it was situated before disassembly, so I had to fiddle with it for quite a while before I figured out how and where it's supposed to go.

Again, I am happy to have had the experience of further disassembling and upgrading my shotgun and I look forward to doing a trigger upgrade on my revolver soon, as well. Then a bolt upgrade on my rifle. Then some additional mods to my carry pistol. And on and on! :)

Notable change in pull

I installed kits in two 500s and one 590 and got noticeable decrease in pull and a crisper break on all three. One gun was a little less than the others but was also the newest with the least wear and use. I am very happy with the results for the money invested. A good trigger in a firearm can makes a big difference.

Noticeably lighter trigger

I recently purchased a Mossberg 500 and came across this product doing some research on it. Install was not as smooth as the video but went in ok. After putting everything back together I immediately fired a live round. Very different feel to the trigger than before, blasting through 6 rounds in row was breeze. I recommend to anyone that plans on fully breaking their mossberg500 down, mind as well swap in these springs while you're at it. The wooden tool to release the tension on the hammer spring is super necessary to purchase at the same time.

Noticeably Smoother trigger pull

Installation was quick even with limited experience disassembling and reassembling firearms. The trigger spring tool was worth the couple extra bucks to save the hassle of installing without it or making my own given that i didnt have the right size dowel laying around. Performance wise, I dont have a tool to accurately test the trigger pull weight before and after but the stock parts definitely felt like a clunky shotgun trigger. After the upgraded spring install it's much closer to a hunting rifle trigger pull. Can't beat it for under $30 and a half hour (including the full clean, lube, reassemble) worth of work

Ok

I have a Lymann trigger pull gauge... measured 7 lb. - 6 pull average before install. After install, 6 pull average was 5 lb. 1 0z. so approximately 27% decrease. It was noticeably better, but I was hoping for 50 % decrease. These Factory Mossberg triggers are HORRIBLE, so Im not faulting MCARBO for my results... there's only so much one can do... "You can't polish a turd!"

I installed this on a Shockwave that already had a pretty decent trigger at 4 3/4 lbs. I was hoping for a noticeable improvement, but only wound up with a 4 1/2 lb. trigger with the new spring kit. All and all, I don't think that it was worth the effort for me.

Outstanding quality, service and installation video.

I now know the full details of the inside and outside of my Hellcat. Installed the trigger kit was flawless. Will definitely be making copious purchases in the future for my Sub 2000 upgrade. Well done!!
