Provided video helped with installation. Part arrived on time and in good condition. Discernible increase in magazine release tension.
Good product. Good installation video. Wish I had purchased a few of the other upgrades after I had the pistol disassembled.
Spring is what should have been OEM. Company has their s##t squared away good to go. Installation video was great.
Very pleased with results. Magazine would release every time I shot . After replacing with the heavy duty spring from Mcarbo works perfect.
Excellent product and service
Huge difference in spring tension. Haven’t gone to the range yet to test out the fix but I’m sure it will solve the issue. DM
Because of my previous experience with MCARBO’s quality I bout this part for my LCPll in 22 and my 380. It is marked difference when you release a Mag. The release is positive with a consistent pressure. The original was soft and springy.
I”m left handed and carry my lcp or my lcp2 in my front pocket in a holster, I alway had my magazines pop out unexpectedly I guess when I’d bump up against something. Now with the heavier mag release spring it haven’t had it happen, it’s a must have addition for the lcp and lcp2.
Quality parts, received PDQ. willy buy from in future!
I had problems with my Ruger LCPII ejecting the magazine when firing. New gun, new mags, both 6 and 7 round mags, all did it. Sent back to Ruger and they quickly repaired and sent back. They replaced the slide and magazine release. Worked great for approx 100 rounds and then started ejecting mags again. Made sure it wasn’t grip. Was about to junk the pistol or sell until I found MCARBO on one of the Ruger forums. Immediately ordered their mag release spring, quick shipping and easy install. Absolutely fixed my LCPII, 100 rounds so far and no issues with any mag ejecting. Definitely recommend.
Better mag containment
This is a must if you have high mileage on your lcp. Pocket carry plays hell on this little spring and this takes it back to new or even better. This is cheap insurance for a life saving device that lives in a pocket.
I have a problem with the mags dropping under recoil, so I figured I'd give this a shot to see if it fixes the problem. It definitely increases tension on the mag release, but I haven't gotten it to the range yet. Installation videos are great, but it probably took me 15 minutes and some serious meditation to get the new spring in place. Without the video tips, I never would have been able to do this. Worth mentioning, I have zero experience disassembling guns this far and I was able to accomplish the task.
MCARBO delivered as promised. This magazine release spring is easily 15%stronger than the factory, and should last the lifetime of my pocket pistol. Thanks guys
Went to the range today after having my extra power mag release spring installed by my local gun smith. no more issues with unintentional mag releases. Thanks Mcarbo for making my lcp2 reliable again.
He warned me to be super careful, and I tried, but the darn thing still flew across the room. Tried magnets and metal detectors but it's nowhere to be found. I'm sure it will stab me in the foot someday. It's an excellent product but BE CAREFUL and WEAR EYE PROTECTION!
