Flat out Awesome!!!! Prior to the kit upgrade my groups were suffering, after a few mags I was pulling to the left no matter how focused I was on Grip and control. After the upgrade I was speechless.... I followed his YouTube instructions and it was much easier than I expected. I could tell the difference in dry firing after the install and the next day I took it to the range. After about 7 or 8 mags worth of ammo (75+ shots) at 7 yards all of my groups were well under a 3 inch circle most all of them were well within 2 inch. None of the shots were veering to the left. The spring kit upgrade has given me a new found love for my P365xl. Job well done MCarbo
Just what I needed to make the P365 trigger feel 'right'. Great instructions for installation (beware that safety spring will spring into another parallel universe if it gets away from you - reorder as necessary!!). One addition to the P365 instructions: P365XL striker is different and as such removing the rear slide cap has changed. The instructions state that you should pull the striker shroud release forward while prying downward to release the rear cap. On the P365XL the striker shroud has been changed and to remove the rear slide cap you now have to push the striker shroud tab downward and toward the center line of the slide to release the slide cap. BTW, shipment of kit was super quick. . . ordered on Sunday and was in my mailbox on Wednesday using standard USPS. Great job guys on first and second order!!!
I installed the M*CARBO spring kit in my Sig 365 with XL body The kit is easy to install if you follow the great video and will lead to an improvement.
Big improvement, easy to follow video. While disassembled also installed titanium striker. Spring kit comes with 4# striker spring but the titanium striker itself comes with a 3# spring along with updated information on the striker housing redesign. Used the 3# spring and have put about 300 rds without any problem. Noticeable reduction in trigger pull.
Remember that this will STILL be a striker-fired gun. Nothing can change that. (It will not run like a 1911.) There is still take-up, but much cleaner. Love the feel of this. I also installed the MCARBO flat trigger at the same time. Big improvement. (If I'm going to have the FCG all apart, then come on! I watched the MCARBO install vid twice and the Sig Guy vid twice. Easy peasy.) I'm very happy with the package. Worth it.
This product is awesome and does exactly what they said it would and makes the gun 10 times better !!
First time customer and I couldn’t be more pleased. Finished the spring kit in about 35 min. And everything works flawless. Thank you so much for the install video. not sure I could have pulled it off without the help. Keep up the great work guys you got another customer for life.
The installation was pretty easy using the video. For you older guys an Opti-Visor helps tremendously. Always remember that small parts associated with springs can disappear fast. My trigger was already pretty good at just under 5#. It's now 3.5#. I like it...I Like It A lot!
Amazing product and great videos only time will tell to see how long the springs last but I am hoping forever so amazing.
Buy the kit. Get the flat trigger also. Seriously. Do it now. Installation was smooth. The video Chris posted makes it so any level of gun owner can upgrade their weapon the right way the first time.
1300 rounds with the spring kit. Smooth and crisp the way it should be.
Finally installed the spring kit in my P365XL-9mm. The Trigger pull was reduced to 4.5 from 5.8lbs. First 8-shot group afterwards was amazing!
I am blown away at the difference it made in my P365. It made much smoother and lightened a little ( but not too much ). You have to have a little patience installing the sear spring but the install video is fantastic. These guys are awesome and they re for real.
Great product, easy to install with minimal tools. The reduction in pull weight translates to a lot less squish in the felt pull before the break. I’m very happy with this product and the quickness of its delivery. I’ll definitely come back for more products in the future
Good product and excellent installation video! I was able to reduce a nearly 7lb pull to 3.5lb using the kit plus my own trigger spring from a Wolff torsion assortment. The SIG comes with a stiff trigger spring as well as sear spring. Unlike the sear spring, which is safety-critical because it holds the sear up in front of the striker, the trigger spring only returns the trigger and can be reduced as much as desired with zero possibility of sear slippage. I would feel much more comfortable if I had an MCARBO spring in there instead of a generic (and therefore suboptimally proportioned) one.
Have not yet installed trigger spring kit I received within the last few days on the Sig P365 XL. I have not seen in the reviews , or maybe I missed them, discussion on primer drag. Is anyone seen a difference in frequency of primer drag before and after trigger spring installation on the Sigh P365 XL ? From my limited research, and I'm no expert, primer drag is common in compact/sub-compact striker-fire handguns. I have been checking a limited number of my spent casings and have not seen any primer drag so far on my Sig P365 XL. My understanding, and again I'm no expert, that the strength of a striker spring can have an effect on the timing of the firing cycle and thus may contribute to primer drag. Like to see if M Carbo can address this issue from any of their testing. From my perspective, the improved trigger pull is great as long as it doesn't increase the potential frequency of primer drag. I'm using the Sig P365 XL primarily for EDC and home defense not primarily for range use. Any spring breakage after firing larger number of rounds? The youtube video on installation of the spring kit was very clear and professionally done. Like to address the above issue before installing kit. Any input would be welcomed, especially from M*Carbo staff. Please keep in mind, I had to give the kit a rating to be able to submit this email so my rating isn't based on any personal first hand information.
