Sear spring was easy enough to install (Watch Video). I have to agree with MCarbo video - the striker assembly that Sig uses is a very big disappointment for a pistol I paid over $600 for (XL). A plastic shell that locks the end cap in that has to be forced out of a notch and somewhat damaged to remove and reinstall - it's a real POS. That was the hardest part for those 2 springs. If I had to do it over again, I would leave the factory striker spring and skipped this part. I don't think it made a huge difference in the feel of the trigger for all the trouble it turned out to be. I am also a little concerned about light primer strikes with this reduced spring, but time and rounds will tell. After all, this is a EDC gun and doesn't need a super light trigger.
The combination of the spring kit and the flat trigger are great!! Any Sigs I get I will put those in ! The installation video was excellent. I had a few glitches, but it all came together. Ive never been inside a sig action before so this was a great learning experience!
The kit was easy to install once I viewed the video, however, I'm reasonably familiar with assembly and disassembly of firearms. Nonetheless, MCARBO made a terrific instructional video, I commend them. The spring kit left me a little wanting though. I not only replaced the sear spring, striker spring, and striker safety spring, I also polished the sear and striker assembly. The trigger pull only reduced from 6.4lbs to 6.2lbs. I am pleased with the relief from the gritty feeling during the over-travel, it's no longer present. Perhaps MCARBO will come out with a trigger kit for the P365XL that will reduce trigger pull in the future, something like an Apex trigger. I will be looking forward to seeing what they present next. I would rate the spring kit a four out of five.
Had the spring kit along with a Grayguns adjustable trigger and with that setup it made a good gun better. Also added a Hogue grips and pinky extensions to the magazines
Just purchased the P365. looking to purchase the spring kit and the video looks great as always. The only hitch I see is I have a manual Safety version. Is there much difference between the regular and MS version for the install ?
The other 365s, that I installed the spring kits in started out 7#-8# and the spring kits reduced the pull weight to 4#-5#, but I just bought a lightly used Macro Comp from a guy and even though it measured 4#, I ordered a spring kit for it, because the guy said it was stock. I replaced the springs, and it’s only about 1/2 pound lighter. I didn’t compare springs, this time, before installing, but I pulled out the striker spring, because it’s the easiest spring to take out, and I measured it against the factory spring and they are exactly the same. Maybe Sig is now putting lighter springs in their pistols?
I installed the spring kit in my P365 X-carry following the video and the PDF instruction sheet. It took about 2 hours or a little more, mostly because I had difficulty getting the housing to release the slide plate. It turned out that Sig has redesigned the striker housing and releasing the slide plate takes a slightly different action. The rest of the installation was fairly straightforward. The result has been quite satisfactory so far. The trigger pull is significantly lighter and helps to make this great little pistol easier to shoot. The only complaint I have is that the instructions and video have not been updated to show the new procedure to get the striker out of the slide. There is a YouTube video from another company that clears it up.
Awesome set to run very well made does as said to do and the Install is simple as it gets they made a really good video for anyone that needs help threw the install it and the trigger both I installed both in my p365 and reduced my pull from 6.5 to a even 3lb pull and really helped pull my groups together highly recommend to anyone looking to help there pull or just over all comfort plus the flat face trigger looks good to
Once I got the back plate off everything went well. The XL firing pin sleeve has a very different compression tab requiring you to push it to the side and then compress. Could have used a third hand. I wound up trimming the compression tab to work more like the 365. Manual safety added additional steps. Trigger pull greatly reduced! As with my trigger review, recommend a COMPLETE video for 365/XL with manual safety that covers trigger and sprig kits altogether.
Bought this product because it was made here, by fellow vets…. Wanted a little lighter trigger pull for my wife’s p365. Easy to install, video was awesome- some minor differences in mine, vs the gun shown in the video, but still very easy. Now for the bad- since installing, we’ve been having issues with light strikes- tried different ammo, and different shooters. Going to re install the factory stuff and see if the problem goes away….
It appears the replacement striker spring has made a condition that the 365 is noted for much worse. I have uploaded a picture. In one case the primer was pulled part way out of the case. The ammo was factory browning 9mm
I bought this because i was told by a friend that it would remedy the common issue where these 365xl's have a second "click" before you reach the back wall of the trigger. I know this kit wasn't meant to fix this, i knew that when i ordered it. It was a long shot and at $20 why not. Unfortunately it didn't pull off the hail mary i was hoping for, but it did greatly improve it. Not only did it reduce the click from borderline unshootable to a mild issue, but the actual back wall of the trigger feels like it brakes much crisper with a lighter overall trigger pull. I'm now 1000 rounds through this without an issue. Thank you m-carbo
I bought 2 kits since I have an SAS and an XL. The install video is probably one of the best I’ve seen. The narration is excellent and everything is clearly explained. Greatly appreciated since the p365 can be complicated to disassemble. I would not say that there is not a night and day difference but there is a quantitative distinct difference. Is it worth it-? Yes!!!i would try installing the striker and striker lock springs before the sear spring. It may make enough of a difference. One of my guns needed all the springs and the other responded to just the 2 springs in the slide. ymmv
Just installed and what a difference. 500 rds in and ZERO hiccups. No light primer strikes, flawless. Best and cheapest $20 upgrade for the Sig 365XL! Nice job MCARBO!!!
I'm updating my p365 to a P365XL, Romeo Zero. This spring set makes all the difference in this sweet little pistol. The installation was mostly simple, had some problems getting the spring above the sear pin. Additionally I added a Sig Flat Trigger, What a great update! I have ordered spring kits for all my "J Frame Smiths and my SCCY CPX-2.
Utilize the resources available, though their YouTube instructional video is plenty. Make sure you have some sturdy tools too! What can I say, there's a noticeable difference and feel to my flat trigger. The take-up is still there, but the break and reset are more easily felt and even audible. Solid feel of control unloading my magazine.
