Performed the upgrade on an XL. Note that the striker procedure is now a bit different than on the otherwise excellent install video. The differences are well documented on other YouTube videos, so watch those before starting. I do not love the 365 trigger, but this kit, along with some light polishing, definitely made an improvement. At $20.00 it's a must do.
I advise you look at the video first then go to the install. after that it takes a little time to do the install and it will reduce the trigger pull about 2 pounds. I think it is worth the time and the price is fair.
Had several failures after changing the trigger spring and had to re-install the original Sig spring.
The spring kit did what I wanted it to do, made the trigger pull lighter! It took a while to install, but I got it done!!
I have one of the first generation P365's and installed both the MCarbo flat trigger and spring kit. Overall I am pleased with the results as the trigger is so much smoother and breaks crisper than before with a quicker reset. I did not get the weight reduction I was expecting. I think, based on the way I measured, my before starting weight was around 6.5 pounds and my average after the upgrade was about 4.9. Overall I am still very pleased, although, have not had a chance to test at the range.
After finally having my local gun shop install this trigger kit for $80 and getting it back I’m very disappointed. I didn’t feel any difference in the trigger pull. I backed this up using a Wheeler trigger gauge. I’m at 6.5lbs before and after the install so no difference at all. One of my coworkers checked his 365 with the same Wheeler gauge and his stock is 6.25lbs. I just wasted $100 total including the kit. I don’t know how all the other reviews on here are seeing something different than me. Two stars for the fast shipping.
Swapped out the stock springs for this kit and much better target grouping. Wish I did this sooner!
Yes, it does...but.... Okay installed the new striker spring and the new plunger/safety spring and stopped. Test fired and much better then stock. Crisp reset, good trigger and lighter then stock. Installed the sear spring reassemble (recommend having a professional do this part of the kit) and test fired. Basically no difference over just the first phase. Could be there is a very, very slight improvement over the first phase, but in my humble opinion not worth the effort and I had a gunsmith friend install the sear spring. Great product and great price, but if doing another one, I would not install the sear spring Disclosure.....new gun with only 100 rounds through it before up grade and about 50 since split between phase 1 and 2 Highly recommend product and this company
I had installed this Mcarbo spring kit previously without the JTTC compensator and only occasionally had light strikes when the gun was very dirty. After installing the compensator, every other round was a failure to fire even after stripping and cleaning every part of the gun. After troubleshooting research, it seems I'm not the only person that experienced failures to fire without the comp, but definitely know this isn't compatible with the JTTC microcomp whatsoever. Kind of annoyed that it doesn't just function regardless, but that's what I get for replacing the trigger springs on a carry gun.
I installed this spring kit along with the M Carbo flat trigger and this is a day and night improvement. I shot 250 rounds through my P365 today and everything functioned 100% with what I guesstimate about 35% trigger pull. Lighter pull but still safe, and it improves accuracy by providing a better surprise trigger release. Fantastic and highly recommend. Note: If your P365 has a safety, the online tutorials do not provide a video with a safety. It is an involved installation and recommended for those who are handy, have the appropriate tools, have mechanical aptitude and lots of patience. I do most of my own gunsmithing, short of needing machine tools, like a Vertical Mill or a Lathe. Otherwise, have M Carbo or your favorite gunsmith do the install.
With the instructional video I was able to keep pace with the instructor and got this installed relatively easily.. trigger pull I estimate to be around 5lbs now which is just perfect.
WATCH THE VIDEO! Simplest walk through ever. Well shot video too. Was done in 20 minutes flat. Stock trigger pulled 7.6# and pulls at 4.1 after the install. Great product and will buy from again.
The entire process was extremely easy thanks to the instructional videos. The trigger pull is great, there’s still just enough but the overall feel is great. With the factory trigger I always had that little jerk at the end that would make me pull high left, however with this kit you can squeeze right on through. Highly recommend. The only issue I had was that sig has changed the back plate removal since the video was posted. However a quick search and I found a video for that as well. It added maybe 5 minutes to my installation, no big deal.
This and the sig flat trigger gave me a trigger pull of 3 lbs down from an original of 5-6 lbs. Still have to test fire it to proof it! Great job!
Great install but I did not achieve the reduction in trigger pull I thought I would get. Went from right at 6.4lbs to 5.1 lbs. just kinda thought I might get down into that 4 to 4.5 range. Very good product and instructions on install just didn’t achieve the lower trigger pull anticipated.
300 rounds today-no issues. I also bought the Short Stroke Flat Trigger. OMG, the combination is what I expect from Mcarbo. The trigger is smooth, and the rest is short. Great product. I recommend this to anyone who is training/range time at least three times a month. Because it is a light trigger, it takes time to become a discipline with the trigger. The only thing that is missing in the install video is the how to remove and install the safety.
