Excellent quality. Great upgrade from the factory cheap plastic one. This one is a little hard to install due to it being steel you need to kinda wiggle it in with the factory flat spring but it WILL go in without scratching or damaging anything. Feels and looks real nice”. On the plus side these guys are real nice and helpful with any questions you have. First time buyer a will be a long time customer..
Slide action is so much smoother since installing the guide rob in my SP01. Using the factory flat recoil spring with it and have no complaints. Was a sucker to get back together though, just had to take my time and make sure everything was aligned (as mentioned in the installation video).
The plastic guide rod was junk this one is so far superior in every way. And it smoothed out the actions. Truly a superior product
I replaced my stock plastic guide rod with this steel guide rod. Easy to install. Good quality and looks great. I also purchased the spring and noticed the improvement when racking my slide on my Sp01. I would recommend this product
No one wants the floppy rod. Make sure you have the firmness that will last with all shots. Very slick, has an awkward shape but it's easy to insert. You just need a lit bit of lube and make sure you're properly aligned. There is a sense of relief knowing that your tool will cycle properly without losing integrity. On a serious note, the guide rode is awesome, CZ is an awesome manufacture (just wish it was Merican) but the original guide seemed like the lazy option.
Obviously, the guide rod I ordered for my CZ-SP-01 is stainless steel. Its polished to such a high degree that I can see my reflection. It was incredibly easy to install and along with the extra power spring that I also purchased from Mcarbo I noticed a difference in my slide. It takes a little more work to rack the slide but thst is because it is a stronger spring. Sadly, though, I have not had a chance to take it to the range but this weekend or earlier I plan on going.
This is my honest review for this product. First impression, it looks skinny compared to the other brand (Rival Arms Guide Rod Assembly) which I also bought and returned. The MCarbo stainless guide rod with extra power recoil spring always went in smoothly without too much effort, it really works for my CZ SP-01. The rival arms brand won’t even go in. Because I like it so much, I bought a second set of the MCarbo (spring and rod) as backup for future use incase I need them. Thanks MCarbo for making a good quality products that really works. Don’t waste your time and money on other brands, buy this.

The guide rod is a thing of beauty. The spring that is a must buy was a lot heavier than the stock part, so I trimmed it just a few turns and it works like butter. A fantastic upgrade.
This guide rod replaced my plastic one in my SP 01...i must say they did a lot of thinking in this make. It's a perfect fit for the replacement. Function of the pistol is how it's supposed to function. Love these guy's.
I purchased the M*CARBO Stainless Steel Guide Rod to replace the plastic rod that comes standard with the CZ SP-01 Tactical, and like all M*CARBO products, it's first class. I highly recommend it.
I noticed the stock recoil guide rod was a little warped so I ordered one of these and the extra power recoil spring for my SP-01 Tactical. A little tricky to get in, but has worked flawlessly with everything I've put through it. From 115 range stuff to 124 +p that I normally carry. Liked it so much that I ordered the guide rod and spring for my 75 B.
Nice upgrade for my SP-01, the plastic factory guide rod was starting to bend and I figured the stainless steel guide rod would last as long as the firearm; forever. as noted on the Mcarbo website you need to use a regular or "non-flat" spring with the stainless guide rod. Also the length was perfect for my SP-01.
Works great. The easiest and first upgrade you should buy for your pistol.
