Great upgrade to replace the flimsy plastic guide rod out on you're CZ 75. Quality and fitment is very good. I also ordered the Extra Power Recoil spring to go with this awesome Guide Rod. I would recommend to everyone.
I purchased the stainless steel GUIDE rod and extra power recoil spring for my CZSP01 tactical I was told this would help ejection of the brass which was flying 15 feet to my right they were right – fixed it the brass drops at my feet the recoil rod is fantastic the spring is great cant ask for a better. well worth the money easy to install would recommend this to everybody who has a CZ 75 thanks a lot will be buying more from M*CARBO
Shipping was fast product is made out of high quality material I install steel guide rods on all my guns if it is not OEM installed I have also ran my CZ with the original spring and had no issues ran very well. I am also ordering the floating pin just to avoid any possible future issues have to give it too Mcarbo there videos regarding installs are one of the Most detailed oriented on YouTube. Thumbs up for me.
nice upgrade
Awesome product! Works as advertised. Got 100rds through the gun flawlessly. Very happy with the purchase and would definitely recommend to anyone.
this guide rod is a thing of beauty! at a very affordable price I can't imagine anyone not upgrading their CZ with this part! the original guide rod on my CZ 75 Tactical is already bent and I've only fired about 1K rounds through it; this stainless steel gorgeous guide rod would definitely outlast the original.
So, love my SP-01, one of my favorite pistols, so when I saw the polished guide rod and the heavier spring, I thought heck, why not. I never really paid attention to the plastic guide rod, but 100 percent glad I made the change. So after changing the parts, the first thing I do is take my gun to the range and test it out, run it through its paces, as suggested, I took my attorney, he enjoyed shooting my gun too! we were both amazed at the less felt recoil, better control, and tighter groups, I should have charged him, get some of my money back! Fanally, The more I look at this M-Carbo website the more things I find to buy, thanks for all you guys do and please keep making my weapons better! Happy Shooting!
Takes a little skill to fit into place, but the YouTube video explains it well. The unit now will have the same exact characteristics throughout its lifecycle, instead of having to deal with a warping guide rod at 1,800 rounds or so. Using this with the recommended spring, of course. Cycling and ejection is solid. It's probably unrelated, but after I installed this, I did need to clean my extractor, which is only completely possible on this unit by driving out some of the pins to fully disassemble. Anyway, once cleaned, all works just super.
I am the proud owner of an IMI Jericho and purchased a coolfire trainer to practice with it. Problem was, the coolfire came with a replacement recoil spring and the IMI Jericho comes stock with a captured recoil spring, which means it could not be replaced! Fortunately, I was able to replace my captured recoil spring with this product and it is totally compatible with my CZ-SP01 coolfire kit on my jericho!
Between weekly IDPA matches and practice with Cool Fire trainer, my SP-01 Tactical is getting the equivalent of around 1000 rounds monthly. I've had an MCARBO SS guide rod installed for years now and never an issue, not that I would expect one. Just purchased a SP-01 Shadow and starting to get it tuned for IDPA competition. MCARBO SS Guide Rod was the first thing replaced. (Hard to believe CZ ships this level pistol with plastic guide rod)
Awesome guide rod, well-machined, very smooth surface and looks good. It has functioned flawlessly with the few mags I've put through the SP01 since installing it. Also, installed it with MCarbo's extra power recoil spring and it's a real pussy cat to shoot now. Took off one star for there not being a nitrided or other black treatment a available.
Ordered this to round out all the available upgrades from M CARBO on my SP-01. As noted it takes several attempts and adjusting the angles to get the rod to seat into place. I found compressing the spring down as much as possible helps the process. Definitely an upgrade from stock.
