Review
Very well made product and excellent customer service. Plan on future product purchases.
I finally got to shoot my new CZ 75B Omega over the weekend and the only parts I threw in it were the SS guide rod and the extra power recoil spring. They worked flawlessly while breaking the pistol in. A must have easy upgrade.
Installed in conjunction with Mcarbo guide rod, and the moderate recoil impulse is very tame now, it's hard to beat, no complaints.
I installed this in my CZ 75B Omega Convertible and wow. 9mm has very little recoil or muzzle flip in a steel CZ to begin with, but this spring reduces my muzzle flip even more and keeps everything nice and tight. Highly recommend buying this.
I installed this along with the stainless guide rod.. ( quality ) For me, this was a necessary upgrade. Buy both the the spring & guide rod, you will not regret your purchase. Super fast shipping. My new go to accessory store. Thanks.
Now I can put off cleaning the pistol and polishing the feed ramp even longer.
Installed this with a Stainless Steel Recoil Rod on my CZ-75B before I even fired my first round through the pistol. Couldn't stand the factory plastic recoil rod and am very happy with the Extra Power Recoil Spring...I kept the factory recoil spring as a spare (probably will never need to use it).
This recoil spring works for your high power ammo it’s a little harder to rack it but not bad
Bought this let’s say on a Monday and revived it on a Wednesday super efficient on shipping slipped right on my stainless steel guide rod can’t wait to shoot it to see the difference
The best for my CZ only.
Bough this along with the SS Guide Rod for my CZ SP01. The guide rod is beautifully machined without burrs or machining marks with a mirror like polish. It was a little more cumbersome to install using the factory, flat wire spring - just requiring a couple more seconds of patience to prevent binding but not the impossibility that some reviews have so to eluded. Functioned just fine with the flat wire spring. I did, however, upgrade to this round wire extra power spring as well, and that made a huge difference in reducing muzzle flip; getting back on target; and keeping all of my brass at five to six feet from my shooting position. I shot 124gr WIN 9mm NATO @ 1200fbs, 115gr FIOCCH 9mm @ 1200fps, and Speer GOLD DOT 124gr @ 1235fps. It was a little harder to install from a tension standpoint due to the extra four pounds and extra length but otherwise smoother than keeping the flat wire spring from binding. My guess is that's why the factory guide rod is made out of a more flexible DELRIN material, so that it will flex with the flat wire spring as well as to navigate the unusually long dust cover / guide rod seat at the bottom of the slide. In conclusion: a seamless upgrade with the factory, flat wire spring with better aesthetics, and a performance and accuracy upgrade combined with the extra power M*CARBO round wire spring. The reduced diameter in the center third of the guide rod was a very unique, engineering solution to the potential binding issues mentioned above. Well done M*CARBO!
received my order today, open up the packages and inspect the items. All looks good disassembled by 75b: take out the old spring, just for fun i measure the compression of the spring: 16lbs Get the new High Power spring: it is a 1/4 inch shorter than stock spring: measure spring weight 16 lbs same as the stock spring. Installed spring ran a couple of mags though it, functioned fine with the shorter spring. This is NOT a stronger spring than the stock 40 cal
Arrived quickly, easy to install and seems like a quality product (time will tell) but didn't notice any real difference from factory spring in terms of compression.
After receiving my recoil spring in few days which was fast .I did watch there video on replacement learned that someone had put the old one in backwards,so that was a great help .Put in the new spring wow shot it yesterday no mis feeds which was great .Brought that old gun back to life. Ready to try the trigger springs
I have 2 CZ 75 B handguns. One of them I had this spring installed. I noticed my slide wasn't locking back after the last round in any of my MecGar mags. I could tell that the stock CZ 75 made a metallic clink noise when I racked the slide as the slide impacted the frame, not so with the CZ with the Mcarbo spring. The Mcarbo spring appears to be shorter than the stock spring but slightly bigger guage spring wire which is causing the slide to impact on a coiled spring rather than the frame itself thus causing short strokes. I put the spring in my other stock cz and same results. Now I don't use Mcarbo springs.
gave my 75 the recoil of a shadow 2 very happy with this product.
