I got this recoil spring and the Guide rod for my CZ SP01 . It was easy to put it together did not have a problems . Took my Gun to the range yesterday fired 500 rounds . It worked like a charm ! Excellent product . Great quality product and the gun looks good with the stainless steal guide rod .
This makes the slide too difficult to rack and I suspect that it is causing failures to feed with my 147 grain loads. It may not allow the slide to stay back long enough to pick up the next round in the magazine.
Works great with the sp-01 stainless steel guide rod from m-carbo. Good quality and craftsmanship. Thanks!
I finally got to shoot my new SP 01 Tactical this weekend with this new spring and SS guide rod and I must say it was amazing. The spring is extremely heavy, but I had no issues breaking in the pistol with cheap cci blazer brass 115 grain, every round ran flawless. I definitely recommend this, if you're on the fence just grab one.
I purchased the recoil spring and SS guide rod for my CZ 75 SP01 Shadow Target 2. Right out of the box I could see the excellent craftsmanship of the guide rod and recoil spring. They were easy to install. I went to my local range yesterday and was very pleased with the performance of my handgun after the upgrades. I received excellent service, communication and quick shipping by the MCarbo staff. Order with confidence from this fine company.
I picked up the spring to go with my new stainless steel guide rod, a definite difference when racking the slide, I had to use my manly grip, my first thought was I hope it cycles the 115gr. ammo, second thought was oh well I can put the old spring in if it doesn't cycle. Awe heck, she cycled just fine. I felt like I had better control and less felt recoil too! I noticed some negative reviews, some of which I felt like they made their mind up before they ran the gun through the paces. So yes, going to a heavier pound spring will make the slide a little harder to rack, the pleasure is when you fire the weapon, more manageable, less recoil, tighter groups, just a little trade off! Happy shooting.
I think the spring is just too strong. I was getting frequent stove pipes with 115gr. If it didn't stovepipe, it would barely spurt out the cartridge. Maybe it would work for some 147gr +P, but for now, it's at the bottom of my range bag where I suspect it will be forever.
