Haven't used yet but shipping was fast! Half the price of hk parts.net!
Installing the kit was a pain in the ass, but I got it done… No noticeable feeling in the trigger pull, it’s 1lb lighter and I confirmed the trigger pull weight before install which was at 5.5lbs, now its at 4.5lbs… Worth it? I mean yeah it’s fairly cheap and you get a lighter trigger pull weight Follow my Insta page, troy_boyyy
Very easy to install. Lighter trigger pull. Love it!!!!!!
Not my first rodeo doing various trigger upgrades and I have a selection of gunsmithing tools but I cannot get the nub block pin to move on my VP9SK. I have installed the trigger spring only at this time. I would love a video on just the nub pin removal on a gun that had not been disassembled repeatedly. This is the bitch point in this upgrade.
I got a vp40. Out of the box the trigger was gross. Every video I saw said trigger is good out of the box. Mine had a huge take up and heavy trigger. I got this kit and lazy wolf trigger. Had my gunsmith install this after seeing the video and knowing this gun is too advanced for me. Once I got it back gun was night and day different.
I have done 2 VP9's with this kit. They both went well and the results are AWESOME. Keep up the great work guys. Products like this make a difference! Thanks!
Followed the video and got it done pretty quick. Love the way it shots now.
The Vp9sk has a great trigger to begin with but after I married this spring kit to my Vp9sk it greatly improved the feel and It was easy to install, about 20 min job. Very pleased
Installed this on my optics ready VP9. As long as you follow the videos on you tube for installation, it is pretty simple until the very last step. Having the right plyers and patience the spring will go in. Took it to the range. Works great! I have heard some people complain about the trigger reset being weak. I did not have any problems. Lowers pull by 1 pound
This inexpensive spring kit for the HK VP9 reduced the trigger pull about 1 lb. from stock. However, be advised that installing the parts into the HK VP9 is not for the faint of heart. MCARBO has a very good installation video and I recommend watching it several times before proceeding. In addition to basic tools needed for gunsmithing, you must have a set of roll pin punches and a needle nose plyer. There are two small springs you'll need to watch out for because they're easy to lose: the Disassembly Safety Spring on the locking block and the Slide Release Spring. I've worked on several VP9s so I'm quite familiar with the internals and the installation did not take long.
I followed the video instructions and had an issue with the small half pin that is above the trigger as it was in there solid. Had I pried any more I would have broken the plastic gun body. Yet I did manage to install the trigger spring without its removal. Next I installed the rear small spring by carefully getting the rear assembly out at an angle. I went to the range and found that the trigger was way too light and dangerous. I was shooting and it fired by itself during recoil. I took it home and put the original rear spring back in and did another test at the range. This time it was just right and now safe to use. I still think that this upgrade was well worth the effort. Even though it gave me hell. I think the only reason I was able to accomplish it, is because of my automotive mechanical experience and picks and tools I have. I only hope that others don't run into the pin that won't come out like mine. Its not worth breaking the gun over if you can't get it to come out, even with heat and lube. It's not MCARBO"S fault that HK put that pin in so tight. I think the kit is a great value and improvement overall. If you too run into a hard case pin I say, take it to a pro and let them install the kit. Good luck with yours! You can always try to remove that pin first before ordering your kit. Its never worth breaking your gun body!
works!!!!
Received this kit in the mail about 2 hrs ago, followed the install video and was done in about an hour. The install was easy and the trigger feels great, couldn't have done it without the excellent video. Make sure you have the recommended tools before you start. Be very careful with the small springs.
Purchased the HK VP9 Trigger Kit. Installation of Trigger kit was accomplished while viewing the MCARBO video. Two different procedures pushed my patiences first is at 9:51 on installation video removing pin that holds locking block located above trigger spring. The second is at 36:48 on installation video internal safety located on locking block. Chris is correct when he states pin might be difficult on a new weapon. I would like to thank Jake with MCARBO technical department. Jake talked me off the ledge in regards to removing the pin, I was frustrated and about to get my drill to remove pin. Jake had me take a deep breathe and said that Chris does make removal of the pin look simple. With Jake’s advice I was able to remove the pin. Returned from the range this morning and could feel a difference. I am happy with the results and MCARBO’s trigger kit. Semper Fi.
Didn't think it would make as much of a difference as it did but after having installed other trigger kits from MCarbo, my expectations were definitely met. Install seemed intimidating at first but after watching the detailed install video, it was easy to do. I would suggest test fitting the 1/8" punch, I had to sand the diameter of my punch a little to fit without enlarging the pin hole. The tape on the end of the needle nose tips was great, the spring popped right in on the 1st try.
Trigger weight for my VP9SK was reduced from 5.5# to 3.5#. * Great price * Works well * A very detailed and helpful install video * Fast processing and shipping
