Feed ramp was pretty easy to install (especially with the video sent before the part arrived). Only glitch was the spring into the slide stop. Didn’t realize you needed the tool. Quickly made one from a pocket flathead screwdriver and a dremel tool. Gun cycles ammo great now!
Great upgrade. Followed YouTube instructions, tool my time and I an very pleased.
Installed the stainless feed ramp and mag release this morning. Was a little tricky but with a little patience was able to complete the up grade. The installation video was great. Was able to go out and shoot after and the pistol shoot flawlessly. I load the Hornady 45 gr self defense rounds and normally have several fail to feed rounds in ever clip. NOT this time 60 rounds and no hang up.
this little piece is a great and must havt upgrade to any pmr30!!
After purchasing my pmr-30, I easily discovered that kel-tec had slacked off a little on some parts. I discovered mcarbo and their replacement parts and purchased them immediately. The stainless steel feed ramp is a vastly superior product compared to the original piece. Easy to install aside from the damn little spring lol.
I purchased this feed ramp for my KelTec PMR 30 with the polishing kit while skeptical about its necessity but after watching Chris’s execellant training videos,(he’s a natural) I learned a lot about my weapon's weakest parts so I dove into it. I’ve used MCarbo expertise before with my KelTec KSG and am sold on their devotion to quality CNC parts improving weapons in ways that would be, in the manufacturers mind cost prohibitive I think. I’ve used Mcarbo CNC parts for my CMR30 too which I sent to Keltec for its work, the whole Mcarbo package, and am greatly pleased with it. My PMR30 just got its facelift too now with most of the MCarbo package excepting the trigger which I may do later but cost is a factor so I did all else especially the PMR 30 feed ramp. What a difference! After I finally got it together correctly and Chris isn’t joking when I think he said that if it’s right then it’s perfect, but if it ain’t it ain’t, or some kind of gun wisdom in the video to that point. The KelTec polymer frame is a mixed blessing, soooo light weight and such a flimsy feeling thing to work with but it is remarkably strong and durable, the video Chris did really helped me to get it right finally. I will add to this review that I have a KelTec CP33 which is a fine 22LR pistol. It needed little help either, I put some KelTec 17 round mag extensions on its 33 round magazine so I can tell you that your haven’t shot a 22 until you’ve dumped 3 50 round clips into some bad guy target one after the other it will drive tacks from 50 feet with open sights, quite exciting actually, and a blast. Any way thank you Chris and MCarbo for your fine work and commitment to weapon refinement.
I got the Gen1 on my PMR-30 and it was night and day difference when it came to FTF’s, recently got a CMR-30 so decided to make the same upgrade since it is still shipping with the plastic feed ramp. Installation was straight forward and painless, be sure to get the spring tool to make the installation even smoother. Ran 250 rounds through and so far no issues, definitely the best upgrade in my opinion.
I purchased the replacement feed ramp, magazine eject button, and the stronger recoil springs to upgrade from poor performance. Each piece was precisely made for a precise fit. I followed the installation videos for each piece and did not experience any issues, either with dissassembly or reassembly. I have not fired it yet, due to the pandemic closing down gun ranges, but looking forward to lots of fun, reliable plinking!
No more FTF after installing this feed ramp, and the Enhanced Magazine Release. I used so far 5 types of bullets, some of them that were giving me a lot of problems before, and after (only) 120 rounds I am really happy: not one failure to feed. Great job!
I ordered the stainless steel feed ramp along with the enhanced mag release. All feeding problems with the PMR 30 ceased to exist she runs like a sewing machine couldn’t be happier. The whole process from scanning the website ordering and receiving or a breeze. However if you’re looking to upgrade the PMR 30 I highly recommend the PMR 30 all in one package From MCARBO. Seems a lot more rugged than the oem plastic one. Installation was fairly straightforward. It helped watching the video a couple days prior. Definitely a worthy upgrade.
Already installed a Mcarbo feed-ramp in my sub-2000 with perfect results, so I had to get one for my PMR-30. Same results. It installed perfect with detailed videos, and it functioned perfect like my sub-2000 did. Another great experience 😁
Thank you for this nice upgrade, it sure beats the crap out of the original plastic ramp. I buffed it as recommended, the rounds slide like butter now. I also added the spring kit and improved mag release, they all add up to great overall upgrade
Feeding has been significantly improved with the installation of the feedramp in my CMR-30, in concert with the updated magazine release. I would highly recommend doing this and the magazine release in a single installation, as they seem to complement eachother remarkably well.
Unscrewed all the hardware and the gun fell apart! Parts everywhere! Watched the video and polished the new ramp and proceeded to install and re-assemble. All went well!!! Great info at the end about trigger issues if you over tighten certain screws. Have not taken to the range yet but I expect better results as the plastic ramp was melted and distorted!
I received my feed ramp and enhanced mag catch Saturday. Both items well made. Installed mag catch and polished feed ramp Saturday. Sunday, I installed the feed ramp fit great! Getting that feed ramp spring was a bit difficult...but I eventually got IT! Have patience. You DO need the spring install tool to make the job go a lot easier. Rest of assembly went well, but several times I had to refer to the video.... It was a little confusing about the trigger half frame side video, but I ignored it as unnecessary to mess with. I am currently happy with the factory trigger. Tuesday I will go to the range and try out my mods. I went to the range and fired 125 rounds of Hornady V max and Critical duty ammo. I did have a few feeding issues which I attributed to not tapping the mag after loading several rounds. Once I did this it shot very well One point I would like to make was your mag loader. It works OK but the LULA PMR 30 MAG LOADER is far superior to use. I will keep your mag loader as a backup. You may want to carry a line of LULA PMR loaders as an option, really, they work very well. Just a suggestion,
