When I first purchased my PMR 30 I was getting tons of feed failures. Like most I did a little research and found that I wasn't the only one experiencing this particular challenge. That led me to MCarbo. This is a well machined quality ramp. Obviously more high quality than the stock plastic one. This in combination with the MCarbo mag release solved my issue completely. I took it out to the desert today and shot 300 rounds of CCI Maxi-Mag with zero failures. One additional tip I would give everyone is to oil your entire slide and the magazine ramp where ever it touches the the inside of the mag. (You will have to remove the bottom of the mag to do this, super easy) Gun is flawless now. Highly recommend.
I installed this in my PMR30 and my CMR30. I polished the feeder like instructed (to a mirror shine) and love the results. I've fired flat tipped, round tipped, and gold dot with zero malfunctions. I absolutely recommend this to anyone who wants to fix the issues with their PMR or CMR. Also the PMR needs the enhanced mag release.
I have a cmr that I loathed actually trying to shoot cause of the feeding issues. Did some searching found this upgrade and it's exactly what's needed. I can run a full mag without any issues. I have a pmr on the way and it's getting the same treatment when it comes time.
Watch the installation video on YouTube first!!! I installed it on a CMR 30. I made a tool, to put the spring in the hole, by cutting a notch into an old micro flat head I had lying around. Otherwise buy the tool that M Carbo sells. I shot 140 rounds at the range, after installation, and the carbine functioned flawlessly. Too bad it didn’t come from the factory like this as it was plagued with FTF’s and FTE’s prior to installation of the MCarbo parts. Thanks to Chris and the gang at MCarbo for making my CMR 30 great again!!
Looks to be a quality product, but there is no way I can install this myself. The $150.00 installation fee is a little bit steep for me, so I am not sure what I am going to do next.
Great item and quality made. I suggest getting the spring tool or make your own. It may still require a little wiggle to get the spring set right, but the tool will help with that. I placed a tiny 1mm allen key to keep the ramp up a bit to help start the spring then use the tool to press it in.
It was a very easy installation. After install I fired 50 rounds with no malfunction. Very happy.
This is an “AMAZING “ modification, I did the installation myself and though it was a little tedious if you have some skills it can be done by a novice. I polished the feed ramp very well as recommended and proceeded to the installation, highly recommended that the video be on throughout the installation it was very helpful. Once installed, I went to my local indoor range for the testing of the pistol as this is my wife’s purse pistol. She loves how light it is, and doesn’t weigh down on her shoulder, little over 7 oz with 30 rnds. of .22 wmr. This thing fired flawlessly (almost go thrown off the range for a mag dump) f'em if they can’t handle it. MCARBO You knocked it out of the park, thank you! Highly recommend!!! Not to forget, this coupled with the mag release mod. makes this an awesome little purse gun!
I ordered the feed ramp,polishing kit and armors tool and went to work polishing and installing the ramp upon arrival. The video was awesome, I just was challenged by my ability! After install I shot ammo that had jammed every shot but now it shot everything I fed it with no falil to feeds!! Incredible upgrade, you have to do it if you own a PMR30!!
I reviewed your outstanding service on my purchased items. I now have installed all three old style SS feed ramps and the upgraded mag assembly. GREAT is all I can say .All three PMR pistols run extremely well and continue to run with full 30 round mags. Also make sure to upgrade springs in gun and mags and the firing pin. Currently checking out upgrades for CMR. THANK YOU.

I bought this kit without the upgraded mag release. Don't do that! You need to buy them together. They work hand in hand. Excellent products. Easy to install by watching the installation video. It repaired my PMR30. went to the range before I changed the mag release and the gun ran better but had some problems feeding. I pushed up on the magazine and it ran flawlessly. I immediately ordered the mag release and installed it. Went back to the range a few days later and ran through several magazines with all different types of ammunition without one problem. Thanks M*CARBO you made my PMR30 fun to shoot once again.
Put the new M4 Type feed ramp in both my PMR 30, and CMR 30. Very straight forward and simple installation. Put upgraded safety levers, the aluminum trigger and magazine catch upgrade in at the same time. Easy to do. The installation video makes reference a simple task. Weapons function flawlessly. Worth every dime. Having a rifle and a pistol that both use the same rounds and magazines is awesome.
Pmr 30 owner here.. I purchased the stainless steel feed ramp, mag release upgrade, and spring upgrade and after putting two thousand rounds, yes 2k through it and only cleaning it once it performed like a dream instead of the nightmare FTF’s I was getting on the stock pmr 30. It’s my go to hiking gun I can trust it will actually function now thank you for putting out quality products made right here in the USA!
It’s pretty hard not to justify this addition to any PMR30. Having them side by side is night and day. The plastic squared off factory ramp is almost comical in its shape, and for the mold line to be directly down the middle, its a wonder it works at all. With a little elbow grease you can polish this to a mirror shine. I anticipate great things from this upgrade.
