It’s pretty hard not to justify this addition to any PMR30. Having them side by side is night and day. The plastic squared off factory ramp is almost comical in its shape, and for the mold line to be directly down the middle, its a wonder it works at all. With a little elbow grease you can polish this to a mirror shine. I anticipate great things from this upgrade.
Beautifully manufactured. Didn't really need polished but I went ahead and did it with my Dremel and a felt tip with some jeweler's rouge. Shines like a mirror and as smooth as ice. The install was very easy, simple replacement. Well thought out piece. The gun cycles smoothly with no failures. I feel much better about the reliability of my PMR-30.
I installed the SS feed ramp upgrade, which I polished, and recessed mag release along with the upgraded slide lock button. Those three make the PMR30 as reliable as any other pistol I own and that's many. I ordered the special tool to help with the spring on the feed ramp to the slide release lever and it was a total waste. No way was I going to get that spring in that hole with that tool. It was much easier to just hook the spring from the feed ramp into the slide lock lever, hold them in position, and then just fit them into position as a unit. That was much easier. I hope to have many years of fun with the PMR 30 and even plan to carry it now and then. Thank you M*CARBO!
When I first bought the PMR30 I was disappointed THEN I FOUND M CARBO put the new feed ramp in and magazine latch It is now the gun I wanted in the first place IT IS NOW A GREAT GUN SO i BOUGHT a second ONE ( PMR30 ) and did the same upgrades They are now great guns THANKS M CARBO CAN'T SAY ENOUGH GOOD ABOUT THESE GUY'S
Ramp and mag release awesome, follow the video and takes minutes. You can notch a small screwdriver for the spring for the ramp Mark S
MCARBO is awesome!! Fast shipping and premium fabrication of their stainless steel feed ramp for PMR 30!!
I bought my PMR30 because it looked fun to shoot. It is not, at least not until this upgrade. I have 5 magazines and never could run through a full one without a failure to feed. Googled the problem I was having, watched the video and ordered the parts. Ran the video while I was doing the install and 30 minutes later it's done. 2 things - buy the spring tool and play with the stock feed ramp to get used to twisting it. Also pay close attention to tightening the frame screws in the video. Just 1/8 turn makes a difference if it's too tight. I also polished the ramp with a dremel and Flitz I already had and used 2000 grit wet/dry sandpaper to ease the edge at bottom of feed ramp. I installed the enhanced magazine release at the same time, the video makes it as simple and quick. Raised the magazine about .04 in my install and made this pistol what it should be from the factory. It's fun again. I'm a Cerakote Applicator and I won't let another one out of my shop without these parts. Money well spent for sure.
Just got mine and installed. The upgrade was straightforward, especially with your excellent installation video. Can't wait to op-test. MCARBO sells more than just accessories. They make good guns better!
Installation was pretty straightforward. Major improvement over stock feed ramp! Shot 125 rounds with only one failure to feed. I'm pretty sure it was because of brand new mag spring is still a little tight. Overall worth the time and money!
I have installed the big three, the new and improved Mod 2 Stainless Steel feed ramp, the enhanced Mag release and the new red trigger. I purchased this rife because I like my PMR 30 so much, especially since I did the complete Mcarbo up grades to it. The CMR had to be the worse running gun I have ever shot, FTF, FTE, even the mags scratched up inside, it was terrible. So as a last ditch effort because the CMR promised to be a really cool gun especially in tactical rife matches, I went and put all three upgrades in it. I am happy I went to the extra expense, now I have a really cool, fun carbine that simply doesn't quite. The trigger actual went from a 3.5 lb pull to under 3 lb. Don't know why, same springs, but it tested lighter. The mag release was fine, but the big difference was the Mod 2 Stainless Steel feed ramp. My PMR 30 has the original Mcarbo Stainless Steel feed ramp, I am considering putting the Mod 2 in it too. The CMR is just a bit different than the PMR, but once I had done the PMR, I figured out the CMR. I highly recommend the Mcarbo upgrades for the CMR, it is a must have.
I had just ordered my new SS feed ramps for PMR30. When the E-mail came about out of tolerance parts and they were sending me replacements and could I return the old ones. Being out of state at the time the replacement parts were being sent to the wrong state. Quickly called and arranged to visit the store and parking lot exchange good parts for bad. Not installed yet but dedication to customer is excellent. Will review parts after I return to home state. Many thanks for your great customer service and your service to our country.
Works great. Could not do it your way with old hands. But my way worked great
Just received the new mod2 stainless steel ramp for my PMR30 and as I was having KelTech do their free upgrades I had them install the ramp. The gun fired flawlessly and the gunsmith at KelTech was very impressed with the design and quality of the new ramp. I have all of M*Carbos PMR30 upgrades in my gun and it is now my choice of carry. I highly recommend M*Carbo, they also let me trade in my first generation as ramp for the 2nd free.
Just installed new feed ramp in pmr30. Delivery was on time. Install went as shown on video. Haven’t made it out to the range yet to see how it works. Will shortly.
Have added all the upgrades offered buy M-Carbo reference the Kel -Tec PMR 30. All these parts are a must to help what was a pc. of junk. After the install things do run better. Their is still an issue with mags. Should not have to slam the on a hard surface while loading. Even Kel-Tec recommend's . Really JUST FIX IT. A $500.00 gun and $250.00 in up grade's REALLY M-Carbo's the only way to go.
The new feed ramp and enhance mag release make the PMR 30 a totally different pistol than the factory pistol. Just tested out the new feed ramp with the PMR 30 as well as the enhance mag release, Outstanding shooting with no failure to eject or feed. The PMR 30 is now a very functional pistol, these products made the difference. Ensure you follow the steps as per the video, a little challenging but success. Chris has probably done quite a few which from his stand point looks easy but never doing it before presented a challenge but not very difficult. The Feed Ramp and the enhance Mag release are a must on the PMR 30. Ensure you get the inexpensive spring tool, you will be sorry if you don't.
