Followed instructions in video to install and went well but when trying to reassemble I had an issue with the barrel block pin. The barrel block did not line up with the holes on the grip frame. I had to do some fitting by hand filing the feed ramp where it makes contact with the barrel block in order to get the barrel block and grip frame lined up so that the pin would go through. A bit more work that I wasn't expecting but was easy enough to remedy. Haven't shot the pistol yet but I have no doubt that it'll feed ammo better over the plastic ramp it has replaced.
This upgrade is a must have. Kel Tec rim fires are quite innovative and a favorite of mine. Rim fire rounds always pose a reliability problem and the smart folks at Mcarbo have done an excellent job of making these unique firearms much, much better!
Received both the out of spec part and the in spec one on the same day after receiving an e-mail advising of the out of spec issue. Installation went fine after polishing. Also installed the MCARBO magazine release and it definitely holds the magazine higher in the frame. I had previously installed the XP recoil spring before these other two parts were available. Test firing was only marginally improved with occasional failure to feed. Quite possibly a magazine issue at this point or a slide or extractor issue. At the end of the day it's a KEL-TEC and not a GLOCK!

I noticed that I had already left a review but with only one star. That was a mistake, I rate it 5 stars and just ordered one for my other CMR. No malfunctions through a couple hundred rounds. I hope the plastic that the feed ramp sits in can handle it
The Stainless Steel Feed Ramp along with the Enhanced Magazine catch put a real quick end to the feed jam problems my PMR 30 had. The installation videos were PERFECT and made installation a breeze.....even us dumb grunts could follow the instructions.
After installing the stainless feed ramp. I have no feed failures even with 30 grain. Before the install I had up to 1 in 10 failures. Kel-tek should put this part into production. Thanks for engineering a quality part.
I bought a Kel Tec PMR30 several months ago. I was excited to have a 22 Mag semi-auto pistol that held 30 rounds in the magazine. The first time I fired the pistol it failed to feed on the second shot. My heart dropped. As I continued firing I had the same or similar issue about 7 times in 30 rounds. My first reaction was to sell the pistol. I noticed that as long as I only put 10 rounds in the magazine I had no issues. I went online and found a video by M*CARBO that made my day. The video was outstanding. One of the best step-by-step videos on how to fix the problem that I had ever seen. I quickly went to the website and ordered the Stainless Steel Feed Ramp to replace the plastic one. I also ordered the upgraded mag release. I received my order very quickly and went to work putting the new improved parts in. Without the video there is no way I could have done it. I took the pistol out to a range after fixing it and the results were PHENOMINAL! Not a single FTF in 60 rounds fired. Now my PMR 30 is my favorite pistol. What a fun gun to shoot! The product was very well made, and I am overall quite satisfied with the improvement in feeding reliability. However, purchasers should be aware that this doesn't solve all PMR/CMR-30 feeding problems. A lot of .22WMR hollowpoints still will not feed with this upgrade, including Speer Gold Dot defensive ammo. Hornady ballistic tip ammo feeds MUCH better, and non-hollow-points run the gun like a sewing machine.
Received the SS feed ramp tried to install it. For the life of me I could not get that spring into the hole on the slide stop. I actually broke the spring. MCarbo sent me out a replacement,waiting on the aluminum slide stop button before I try to get it installed again.
Installed my new stainless steel feed ramp with the enhanced magazine release on my PMR30. After 150 rounds of perfect performance I am very pleased. Before I would always get a failure to feed with a full magazine. Out of a 30 round magazine it was not uncommon to get 3 malfunctions associated with feeding the rounds. After 150 rounds of rapid fire (metal parts would burn the S#$% out of you) without a single feed problem. I will be ordering the feed ramp and mag release for my CMR30.
I have had my pmr for 5 years. I have bought all of these upgrades from here I have the old stainless feed ramp and this new one and I can say it matters. My feeding issues has disappeared thank you m carbo for making such a great product
The product is a vast improvement over the stock part. It is a perfect fit. No adjustments necessary. The installation was helpful, but I found that connecting the spring to the slide release before inserting it into the frame was easier than putting the slide release in first, then the ramp, then trying to hook the spring in, as shown in the video.
Replaced the plastic ramp with stainless steel. This should been put in before Kel Tec sold now I have a decent gun. The instalation is a bit tricky the first time around getting the spring in. Now I could do it with out a problem.
Ordered 3, 2 for PMR30 and 1 for CMR30. The new video sure helped. Only problem is screw on mag release came out on fight side, so had to reset mag release. One worked out fine but the other is going to need a mag release upgrade. On the CMR30 going to wait for the video. My newer model works great. Will get back on the mag release and Cmr30 install.
Myself, my Step Dad and my Son each have PMR 30's that have experienced the typical failure to feed issues they are known for. We each ordered the Mod 2 designs and when they came in we sat down at the family table and installed them. We went to the range today and they worked very well. We were able to cycle several types of ammunition without a hiccup. The only type that wouldnt work well in any of our PMR's was some low velocity Winchester which was to be expected but we thought we would give it a try anyway (definitely not the feed ramps fault). We are all very happy with purchase, customer service and product quality. Well done.
